Nike SB’s latest Quickstrike release dropped this past Saturday when legendary toy designer and pop artist Frank Kozik’s collaborative design hit select SB accounts. The Kozik x Nike SB Dunk High Premium QS bears no nickname beyond the artist’s own, but they’re sure to be talked about for years to come with a top-notch tonal olive build that beautifully echoes the ‘military’ aesthetic while avoiding the all-nylon ‘flight jacket’ approach. A select group will also be able to brag about owning one of the 25 individually numbered artist proof pairs that came with matching army bags and dog tags. This small number of special edition drops will hit Kozik’s website today at Noon eastern with complimentary signatures available upon request. Click through for a better look and if you’re looking for a pair of the army bag-less release version, you can find them now on eBay.

Todd Bratrud is a name that should ring bells to any Nike SB collector worth a salt lick, being the brains behind a handful of the more sought after collabo Dunks in recent memory. He’s been instrumental in Nike SB’s tongue in cheek ’4/20′ drops over the past couple of years, as well as other bangers like the scrapped Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Freddy Krueger’. Bratrud recently touched down in Milan for a show celebrating his work, with the range of his Nike team ups on hand along with a selection of his extra-Swoosh work. Hit the jump with us to check out the Todd Bratrud x Nike SB exhibit and let us know what your favorite Todd-helmed sneaker design is.

When you consider the number of themes they’ve utilized over the years including plenty of Star Wars-inspired designs, it’s crazy to think that Nike SB hasn’t done any real military themes. Legendary pop artist Frank Kozik changes that with his collaboration on this Kozik x Nike SB Dunk High, a design whose almost entirely olive green upper belies the complexity of details ranging from the materials chosen to the sockliner and insole markings. Check them out up close after the jump below, then rush out to a Nike SB shop like Kicks/HI to grab yours before tomorrow’s Quickstrike sells out.

Have you ever ridden a skateboard in all-white sneakers? When it comes to skate sneakers especially, they’ve been few and far between because anyone who’s worn something like the new Nike SB Dunk High Pro pictured above anywhere near griptape and asphalt could tell you that the way they look when you start isn’t quite how they’ll end up. That makes this new drop special in the sense that not only is a pristine skate design like this quite rare, but you’ll also get the experience of seeing them age gracefully in much the same way that skateboarding itself embraces urban decay. History in the making if you wear them hard or a jaw-droppingly crisp take on an all-timer if kept snow white, these new Dunk High SBs are available now from Premier.

Frank Kozik is one of those names that if you’re familiar with pop art and/or toy collecting needs no introduction, and if you end up following either of those interests, he’ll be among the first names you commit to memory. Kozik’s stylings have taken him from owning an indie record label and producing artwork for some of the 1990′s most important alternative rock groups, to more recent pursuits like designing toys for KidRobot including his signature Labbit figure. Kozik’s Nike Dunk High Premium Quickstrike reveals a similar level to attention, its flight theme realized with a luxurious tumbled leather overlay that makes the all-nylon designs slightly less impressive. Does this pair’s unique build, premium detailing and neutral wearability make them the best of the ‘flight jacket’ kicks we’ve seen over the past couple years? Photos: Sneeze

The most recent Nike SB Dunk High previewed here on Sneaker News was Frank Kozik’s collaborative Quickstrike that’s so custom built it adds a completely novel feature in its distinctive medial ventilation ports. The new design pictured above goes in the complete opposite direction, eschewing all manner of theming and graphical complexity in favor of a tonal white aproach that’s near the top of the pack when it comes to all-white springtime sneakers for 2012. They’re most certainly going to take on the character of their owner; will you choose to keep these pristine or rather ride in them until their canvas and suede take on a rugged character? The Frank Kozik x Nike SB Dunk High Quickstrike is rapidly approaching, and in these new images we get a better sense for just how ‘Big Bang’-like these really are with a metallic Steel Green/Olive Khaki upper along with Safety Orange accents. Our latest spotlight on a custom sneaker creation comes from an artist who’s unquestionably at the top of his game right now; is El Cappy the best customizer doing it today? We’ve seen him combine styles as disparate as Air Force 1s and Christian Louboutin, but even something as crazy as his ‘Las Vegas Nights’ AF1s can’t hold a candle to the vast scope expressed on this latest design. The Nike SB Dunk High ‘What the Dunk’ is a hightop version of that legendary 2007 mashup that arguably paved the way for the advent of modern hybridization thanks to its approach that combined ‘spare parts’ from 20+ of the best SB Dunks. The original ‘What the Dunks’ got sneakerheads everywhere talking about hybrid designs; how long will we remember El Cappy’s hightop version?
