Nike stepped on a couple of toes last year with their Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Black and Tan’ release, a controversey that looks to be avoided with this year’s more straight forward St. Patrick’s Day Dunks. Shown here is the Nike SB Dunk High that will carry the flag for that holiday this year via a no-nonsense green and gold colorway. Continue reading to see a full gallery of photos on the Nike SB Dunk High ‘St. Patrick’s Day’ and tell us in the comments below if you’re planning to purchase come release time. Here’s your first look at the complete Nike SB Black History Month 2013 collection. Each of these colorways was conceived by a successful African-American skater, ranging from the first black rider to cover Thrasher to a 21 year-old relative newcomer. In order of most experienced, highest cut and most colorful to youngest, lowest and most subdued, we have Chuck Treese’s ‘McRad’ Nike SB Dunk High, Theotis Beasley’s Dunk Low SB and Ishod Ware’s Zoom Bruin SB. They’ve all been “Sent from the future in a cardboard box” and are depicted further below; let us know which you like best and look for yours at select shops.

The folks over at Nike SB decided to do a different thing in terms of Black History Month than their cross campus comrades in the Nike Basketball and Nike Sportswear divisions. Their tribute comes in the form of the Nike SB Dunk High ‘McRad’, meant as a nod to early African American skater Chuck Treece and his punk band of the same name. Continue reading for a more complete look at this special Nike SB Dunk High release and be advised that they’re up for grabs right now at skate shops like Premier.

A few weeks ago Sneaker News gave you a first look at the February Quickstrike Nike SB Dunk High designed by skateboarding legend Chuck Treese. Treese’s spot in skating history is well-deserved as he was the first African-American to be showcased on the cover of Thrasher magazine; although his impact on skating in the black community can’t exactly be measured, his accomplishments in skate and music aren’t forgotten in the industry. This SB Dunk High is designed after his McRad album in ’86, which features the number embroidered on the outer toe similar to the Lucky/Unlucky SB Dunk Highs of nearly a decade ago. These are slated to release in February so check out the new images and get yours early from trife43 on eBay.

The Nike SB Dunk releases as of late have been using more of this distressed/weathered suede material, giving the shoes a broken in (but not worn) look. So with the materials all set, it comes down to color-blocking, and this clean Birch/Hyper Red with a solid gum sole does the trick and makes for yet another nice release for SB fans. The tonal Birch upper features the aforementioned suede with a ripstop nylon at the ankle for added protection, while the Hyper Red swoosh offers some nice contrast with tumbled leather. Premier just got their stock in so enjoy the gallery and head to your local Nike SB shop to get your own or cop one now on eBay.

Pigs will go right on flying in 2013 as last year’s limited release of the Nike SB Dunk High ‘When Pigs Fly’ by the good guys at Concepts is apparently getting a wider release at some additional Nike SB doors. It looks like the sneaker will be missing out on some of the accoutrements from that initial release however-there is no piggy dubrae to be found and no mention of that deluxe looking box either. Continue reading to get another look at the CNCPTS x Nike SB Dunk High “When Pigs Fly” and keep in mind that they’ll be hitting shops like MIA Skateshop this Saturday, January 12th.

Have you been waiting around for years for Nike’s action sports division to splinter off with a roller blading sub-category? Still no word on that, but it looks like this latest Skate Mental x Nike SB project will get kinda close. The Nike SB Dunk High pictured uses some graphics to re-imagine the sneaker as an inline skate, with wheels running along the otherwise clean white-walled midsole (oh and they’ve got a strap across the top). Continue reading to check out the funky Skate Mental x Nike SB “Inline Skate” and look for them now at accounts like Civilist Berlin.

Last week we focused on five 2004 releases of the Nike SB Dunk High for Classics Revisited, and although the overall excitement for the SB Dunk has waned since that peak year, the crowd of loyalists still exists. With Nike SB continuing to pump clean colorways like this Anthracite/Matte Olive, why would they go away? Tonal suede uppers with a nice hit of rip-stop nylon on the ankle collar and tongue give these plenty of appeal. Premier has them in stock so peep the gallery below and get coppin’,
