Eddie Huang of Baohaus and Fresh Off the Boat fame has another sneaker collaboration coming. This time around the restauranteur, author, and traveling man has teamed up with the Swoosh to create the Nike SB Dunk High “Baohaus”, which features an insole decorated to look like the Chairman Bao, Huang’s signature dish at the NYC eatery. Elsewhere the sneakers feature a nappy suede upper and an icy treatment for the outsole (No word just yet on what those material choices might represent). “Rival Pack” Nike SB Dunk High

Earlier this week Sneaker News give you a first look at the Nike SB Dunk High “Rival Pack” consisting of a Georgetown and UNC colorway of the popular high-top. The Dunk, already known for its Be True roots in college hoops, gets some distinct features – the “UNC” pair with a patent leather Swoosh and the Georgetowns with the Nike Terminator heel. The two is said to be designed by two skateshops – Black Sheep Skate (UNC) and Palace 5ive (DC), but we’ll have more solid info for you on that as these college-inspired SB Dunks near a release. The Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 isn’t the only upcoming project from the skateboarding wing of the Swoosh that pairs up the worlds of basketball and skateboarding. On the way is the Nike SB Dunk High “Rival Pack” that features one Nike SB Dunk High in UNC Tarheels colors from Black Sheep Skate Shop in Charlotte, North Carolina, and another Dunk High mimicking the Georgetown Hoyas Terminator pairs from Palace 5ive in Washington DC. BMX rider Nigel Sylvester is getting his own Nike SB Dunk High that features a murdered out black base, a silver Swoosh cutting across the side, and a little bit of “Safari” texture around the laces and the heel panel. The “SOMP” nickname stands for “Standing On My Pegs”, and you can actually read more about that right now in our SN Select interview with Sylvester. The start of a new month always means a new crop of Nike Skateboarding shoes, so let’s check in to see which colorways came through on our favorite skate models.  Starting off the Paul Rodriguez signature line, we see his Nike SB P-Rod 7 in two colorways including one in all-white to match that popular Dunk Low Pro SB from earlier this spring.  And speaking of the venerable dunk, we have a ‘snake’ style, a sort of Irish-leaning colorway with a croc texture overlay, and the pair with fiery gradient contrast stitching to its otherwise all black upper.  Rounding out the set we have the Koston 2 Max and Janoski Max in black and navy, respectively, so click in to see all seven pairs individually, then cop yours at SB shops like MIA.
