Slam City x Nike SB Dunk Low – 2013 Revamp

slam city nike sb dunk 2013 Slam City x Nike SB Dunk Low 2013 Revamp

One of the major hits of the epic Pink Box era of Nike SB was the Slam City Skates collaboration of July 2005. In celebration of their shop location, it looks like they’ve made a revamped version of the original by using the updated Dunk SB outsole and the reshaped padded tongue. The signature elements of this sneaker, like the grungy faded blue Swoosh, contrast stitching, and illustration of Jesus by Simon True are still there, and while it isn’t clear if this 2013 Revamp will be released or if it was just a Promo for Slam City, it does stir up thoughts of the popular SB Dunk Retro topic. A full shot is below so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates.

nike sb dunk low concord release date 1 Nike SB Dunk Low Concord Release Date

Nike Skateboarding’s April 20th 2010 and 2011 releases were among the most highly-discussed SBs on record.  2012′s green Stefan Janoski was a subtler application and now the Swoosh skate division goes in a completely different direction with a tribute to one of the most celebrated type-A personalities on record.  The ‘Concord’ Nike SB Dunk Low celebrates Michael Jordan at his laser-focused best: a reference to the 1995-96 season when MJ in the Air Jordan XI and his Chicago Bulls set the mark for best NBA season with an astonishing 72-10 record.  This year’s April 20 is a Saturday like most of the biggest Jordan drop dates, and it’s worth noting that Nike SB appears to be tightening up its release schedule, so stick with Sneaker News to see how that impacts the future.

Nike Skateboarding has yet to pull off the total Retro, although it has come close on several occasions like last year’s Pusheads and Supremes and even on the GR scale. While these aren’t anything close to the original Reese Forbes-designed Denims of 2002, this upcoming Summer 2013 release tries to capture that American material with a Navy upper and white contrast stitching, achieving that faux-denim look. Paired with a solid white outsole, these Dunks are pretty clean and should go just well with some khakis or shorts, don’t you think? A full shot is just below so give it a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more Nike SB updates.
