NIKE SB DUNK MID The Nike SB Dunk Mid introduced an in-between height to the classic Dunk model under the Nike SB imprint. As a whole the silhouette has a smaller number of highly-sought after colorways than the Nike SB Dunk High and Low, but it remains a popular choice for Nike SB enthusiasts. The Nike SB Dunk Mid traditionally features a strap across the tongue, an element that was removed in 2011 and subsequently brought back in 2012.

Remember the Nike SB Dunk Mid’s brief mid-life crisis wherein the shoes removed the strap for a little bit? Now that that era is in our rear-view, you kinda have to wonder what led Nike SB to take it off in the first place, and why they turned tail on the decision so soon. The latest of strapped up Nike SB Dunk Mids to make itself available is this one, a “Watermelon” flavor that has thankfully arrived before the Summer has expired. Continue reading to see the sneakers and then get in touch with Premier to snag your pair.

Nike SB Dunk Mid – Black – Brown

Arriving as the antithesis to the recent bright bunch of Nike SB Dunk Mids including that from the “Beavis and Butt-head” group and the “Watermelon” is this, a muted black and brown pair. Of course arriving in this case means that the preview is arriving-not the actual shoes (Those should be coming sometime next year). The material is an interesting one, with the toecap and heel wrap getting outfitted with a slick textured surface that isn’t exactly identifiable in this shot. See the whole preview below and stay tuned to find out when and where you can buy this Nike SB Dunk Mid.

Nike SB Dunk Mid – Lucky Green – Atomic Red

Amongst Nike’s upcoming “Watermelon” looking sneakers, we’d say the Nike SB Dunk Mid shown here actually does a better job than that Nike LeBron X Low of imitating the colors and textures of its namesake summer treat. There’s lucky green doing justice to the outer shell, atomic red representing the juicy innards, and even little bit of yellow that has a rind like look to it. Continue reading for another look at the upcoming pair and watch for this Nike SB Dunk Mid “Watermelon” in stores for September 2013.

Nike SB Dunk Mid – Blue Hero – Wolf Grey – Black

The theme shared by July 2013′s Dunk SB pack is so subtly implemented that if you didn’t know the backstory, both pairs would come off as simply well constructed colorways. Notice we didn’t say the theme itself is subtle, though King of the Hill fans will tell you that the guy who started it all is indeed capable of intricate brilliance. With the ‘Beavis’ Nike SB Dunk Mid Pro, we’re talking about a degenerate adolescent with an addiction to toilet paper, about whom sneakerheads of a certain age are certain to wax nostalgic. There’s nothing referencing The Great Cornholio’s ever present Metallica tee, but you can see that the blue/grey split and its black hits are indeed inspired by his short-pants outfit. Have a closer look below, stick with Sneaker News for an up-close with the Butt-head edition and grab yours today from Premier.

beavis and butthead dunk 1 Nike SB Dunk Beavis and Butt head Pack Release Info

The Nike SB Dunk “Beavis and Butt-head” pack looks to be in certain stores as soon as tomorrow. The group is of course not officially connected to that Mike Judge cartoon, but the colors used along with some internet speculation has earned them that name in the sneakerhead community anyways. It appears that shops like Renarts already have their stock and will be releasing them tomorrow, June 22nd, but keep in mind that most of the Nike SB Dunk releases these days aren’t tied down to a solid date. Take a better look at the Nike SB Dunk Low and Nike SB Dunk Mid included just after the jump and watch for them at your local skateshop soon.

Nike SB Dunk “Beavis and Butthead Pack”

nike sb dunk beavis and butthead pack Nike SB Dunk Beavis and Butthead Pack

Is it possible that Nike SB has a couple of upcoming Dunks that pay tribute to your favorite Mike Judge cartoon? It kinda looks like it, as rumors are swirling regarding the Nike SB Dunk Low and Nike SB Dunk Mid pairs shown here and a possible Beavis and Butthead connection. Take a look at both models and you’ll see the similarities-both shoes seem to stick to the shirts of the title characters. Granted the releases wouldn’t likely feature any actual character details given the legal issues Nike SB has ran into in the past for borrowing likenesses. Stay tuned for more on the possible Nike SB Dunk “Beavis and Butthead” pack and give us your thoughts in the comments.
