Now that the Nike SB Omar Salazar LR is ready to go with the Lunar upgrade and all, Nike SB is prepping some new colorways for this signature sneaker. Borrowing a bit from the tumbled suede look we’ve seen again and again this season, these take on the texture in a dark grey tone, with some contrastive white stitching to pull it together. The Swoosh and inside lining come up in a dark purple, keep this release pretty low key all around. Hit the jump for a full look and let us know if you’ve had the chance to take the Nike SB Omar Salazar LR for a spin yet. Also, be on the lookout for this new colorway at skate spots like PLA.

Plenty of skateboarding videos disclaim their antics, but if you take that literally with Nike SB’s latest short, the advice is to avoid being thrown out of a building inside a duffel bag, then don’t skitch your way into and out of a moving taxi, all to avoid a couple of men in black.  But you wouldn’t let them catch Omar Salazar, either, so how should the second part go?  Click through to see the promo video for the LunarLon-cushioned Nike SB Omar Salazar LR and let us know where you think Omar will end up.

Nike SB has offered more vulcanized options in recent years that in its early days, the Blazer SB lineup now bolstered by models like the Zoom Bruin, Stefan Janoski, P-Rod 2.5 and V-Rod.  Those last two belong to Paul Rodriguez’ signature line, which has recently further expanded by offering a vulc-soled take on the P-Rod 5 that also adds a LunarLon footbed for the best of both worlds with respect to boardfeel and cushioning.  And that’s where the Nike SB Omar Salazar LR comes in, an autoclaved remix of the first Swoosh skate shoe that ever featured Flywire that strips out the space age tech for a more traditional appeal.  LunarLon on the insoles means these three upcoming colorways are lighter than any of the earlier releases; will you miss the Salazar’s translucent sole window, or should Lunar foam show up in revisions of all the Nike SB sneakers?  Click through to see more of the first three Omar Salazar LRs and expect the Black/White colorway in stores this month.

Omar Salazar’s line over at Nike SB is definitely one of the ones that appeals most to the core-skate crowd. Not going too colorway crazy, the unorthodox design and skate ready construction on the Salazar releases have always been the main focus. We see that reflected in this newly redesigned silhouette, the Nike SB Omar Salazar LR. Hot on the heels of the Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 5 LR, we’re seeing yet another skate sneaker get the Lunarlon treatment, with the tongue getting slimmed down a bit as well to cut down on the weight. Get the full look at this inagural colorway of the new Nike SB Omar Salazar LR after the jump and let us know if you approve. Be on the lookout for them at top notch Nike SB accounts like Premier.
