Leave to Nike SB’s captain of cool Paul Rodriguez to drop a coloray so subtly tied to his So-Cal locale. The sandy look of this upcoming Nike SB P-Rod V Mid does a lot with a little, evoking the sun soaked beaches of Rodriguez’s native California through the burnt tans of the tumbled upper. We’ve already dropped a couple previews on you for the next sneaker in line for the P-Rod collection, but if this gum bottomed beauty is any indication-this iteration still has quite a bit of life left. Follow us after the jump for a more in-depth look and grab them early from Kasina.

As the calender rolls around, you can bet on sneaker companies dropping colorways to coincide with various holidays. One that Nike SB team rider Paul Rodriguez has made sure to give a little extra attention to is Cinco De Mayo, with each of his successive signature sneakers usually popping up in the familiar red, white, and green colorway. We previewed the latest from this tradition a while back, and we’re here now with a clearer look at this Spring 2012 release. The shoe actually tones it down quite a bit on the red and green side of things, opting for a milky white suede across the upper. The complimentary colors do show up, with a red outsole and a bit of green for the Nike SB tongue tag. Get a full look after the jump and stay tuned with us for more release info. via NSB

If you’re starting to notice an increase in dope kicks on retail workers this holiday season, it might be sneakerheads looking to bolster their budgets to account for all the Nike SB heat hitting stores as you read this. We just showed you the ‘Tauntaun’ and ‘Patagonia’ Dunk SBs, and now here’s another pair to join the former as a super-limited Quickstrike release, the new Nike SB P-Rod 5 Mid Premium ‘Blackout’. These aren’t just a deluxe take on Paul Rodriguez’ latest signature: they’re crafted in an all-black mix of wool and suede whose corded laces capture that boot vibe we’ve seen on so many shoes of late, without violating the P-Rod V’s true skate essence. Peep more photos after the jump, then head out to grab these from select Nike SB retailers like Premier.

Throughout his time in the spotlight, Nike SB team rider Paul Rodriguez has always professed a deep appreciation for Michael Jordan. We’ve seen his shoes pay homage to Michael in several ways, and while this blackout colorway for the Nike SB P-Rod V Mid may just seem like par for the course, it’s hard not to make the ‘Black Cat’ comparison. That’s not to say that the sneaker doesn’t stand on it’s own, with the premium construction looking elegant on this Lunar equipped skate shoe. The smoky suede of the ankle package and the swoosh bring the tiniest amount of a tonal look, showing up a bit lighter than the rest of the uppers. Get the full look at the Nike SB P-Rod V Mid premium ‘Blackout’ after the jump. As always, the team at Caliroots has pairs on deck as we speak.

The winter months typically aren’t very forgiving for skateboarders. With wet weather being a daily occurrence, skating in the rain or snow just doesn’t work. Fortunately that trend won’t be reflected in Nike SB‘s release calender, with plenty of new colorways dropping for their line up of signature sneakers in the coming months. The Nike SB P-Rod V Mid shown here is one of those, with the almost military-green olive on the upper coming as a nice neutral choice for Paul’s latest. Get a full look at the flat bronzed olive/black/white colorway after the jump and let us know if you will be scooping these up. If so, you can catch them now at Flatspot.

Though you know it won’t be too far into 2012 before his sixth Nike SB signature launches, Paul Rodriguez’ latest will offer a strong push into next year’s summer months. Check out this new Nike SB P-Rod V Mids slated for Q2 ’12, a design that feels familiar thanks to correspondences within Rodriguez’ own line and abroad. For this Swan and Sport Red edition, their eyelets give the indication that this is a colorway in honor of P-Rod’s Mexican heritage, though they also look like one of the first P-Rod 5 lowtops. This ‘Cinco de Mayo’-style colorway seems logical as a May release or they could pop up in April so you can get some extra life out of them before the holiday, so click through for more and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Nike SB release dates. via CK

Welcome to the Nike iD family, Paul Rodriguez. Roughly one month ago, the Nike SB P-Rod V was introduced to Nike iD, and it was recently joined by the Mid version, as we gave you a preview of the options yesterday. Some of the samples that the Sneaker News staff threw together included both the Air Jordan III ‘Flip’ colorways, but here’s a look at the the most honored of Air Jordan colorways – the ‘Bred’. This October 2011 release of the mid-top fifth features a Black/Red upper, white midsole, and red outsole – just like the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’. Premier has these in stock right so head there for your pair and stick with Sneaker News for more updates on Nike SB releases.

Paul Rodriguez Jr. was southern California born and bred, a fact to which Nike SB has alluded many times with various LA Dodgers colorways, apparel items and a commercial with Lakers star Kobe Bryant over Ice Cube’s legendary ‘It Was a Good Day.’ But anyone who’s spent time in the hazy Bay Area knows that San Francisco and the surrounding cities are no slouches when it comes to cultivating a unique West Coast sensibility, so we can consider this the next logical step after the P-Rod 2.5 borrowed the classic ‘Cali’ Pecan palette. The Nike SB P-Rod 5 Mid ’49ers’ is named after San Fran’s five-time Super Bowl winning residents of Candlestick Park and bears their brick red and gold colors on an ankle-high LunarLon-cushioned silhouette. Click through for more, let us know what you think and if you’d be interested in another Nike SB NFL Pack, and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for updates on this spring 2012 release and all P-Rod 5 release dates. via N-SB
