What’s that you say? You already know what’s hitting Nike SB accounts this month thanks to our heads up from yesterday? Well it turns out there are a few more models showing up for January 2012 so stick with us for a second here to check out the rest. First up, a couple P-Rod releases: Nike SB P-Rod 2.5 in black/white/metallic silver and a Nike Sb P-Rod V with a tar colored suede upper and a dusky tone of midnight falling on the swoosh. After that it’s the Nike SB Blazer Low with a not-quite-blackout look, thanks to the midnight fog that lightens the mood a little bit. Follow us after the jump for a full look at all three of these and let us know what you’re looking forward to the most from the January 2012 Nike SB releases. As always, they can be found at fine retail locations like Premier.

The most recent Vulc Rod release from Nike SB came in black with a vibrant green shade called Hyper Verde providing the accent hits. The overall look is something like a laser light cutting the air in a dark club or convert venue, whereas the Volt elements on this new Nike SB P-Rod V serve to give the shoe a ‘highlighter’ look. We’ve seen a similar approach to neon-on-black from other LunarLon-cushioned releases, but this P-Rod 5 is novel among those and the P-Rod line as a whole for the relatively rare use of nubuck. Click through so you can see how this slightly-smoother-than-suede material translates to the P-Rod V’s smooth lines, and look for these exclusively in-store at select SB spots like Premier.

The Nike SB P-Rod V followed Eric Koston’s first Swoosh signature as pioneers in what we’d have to expect will be a growing mass of LunarLon-cushioned skate kicks, but it was Nike Running who led the way some three years earlier with a rippled space age foam sole on the LunarRacer+. That signature shape has given way to sleeker profiles just as the original LunarLite was replaced by its superior, but this Nike SB Lunarod V helps us imagine a totally mixed up world where the LunarRacer sole is reproduced with LunarLon and strapped to the body of a P-Rod 5. It’s apparently a rough world, judging by the damaged midsole that reveals that especially for something as abrasive as skateboarding, the cushioning is probably best embedded within a traditional cupsole. The era when skaters had to appropriate footwear from other sports is long over, and these days the latest from the likes of Nike SB generally feature a fair amount of specialized technology tailored to skaters’ needs. The newest from P-Rod’s line definitely fits that bill, as the Nike SB P-Rod V comes with a high tech sole featuring LunarLon technology. The varsity royal/black pairing seen here comes off as a sly nod to the J-Pack SB’s of yesterday, utilizing and ancient Jordan 1 colorway. Take a full look of this Nike SB P-Rod V after the jump, which is available as of now at NikeStore.

We just showed you the finished product from NIKEiD, but say you don’t feel like applying the colors and materials to Paul Rodriguez’ fifth Nike SB signature; why not let the professionals handle that for you? Check out the newest Nike SB P-Rod V, a Varsity Royal suede design with a black Swoosh and white outsole that evoke the most popular ‘off’-colored OG Air Jordan 1. You could consider these the ‘J-Pack’ P-Rod Vs after the various MJ/SB cross-pollinated releases over the years, and you can expect these at US Nike SB retailers soon with Korea’s Kasina just getting theirs.

Paul Rodriguez’ fifth Nike SB signature sneaker went up on NIKEiD earlier this month, the Nike SB P-Rod 5 the first Swoosh skateboarding design available for 1 of 1 online customization. A few sample designs surfaced last week to give us a feel for what’s possible, but these new images take it to another level with the finished product in real lighting for all to see. The P-Rod 5′s simple appeal carries over nicely to each of the colorways pictured above, the ‘Seahawks’ and Bred editions particularly strong thanks to tonal Elephant print on the heel counter. Nike SB has finally arrived on Nike iD. Paul Rodriguez’ fifth signature shoe from the Nike SB P-Rod line is now subject to color customization at the hands of Nike SB fans everywhere, and the list of custom options is quite impressive. You can opt for suede or leather on the upper, and can even alter the configuration of the perforations (a uniform size or a ‘gradient’ style). Of course the most unique part about the Nike SB P-Rod V iD is the option of using elephant print, which makes this Nike iD experience all the more tempting. Check out some of the sample make-ups below and head to Nike iD to get your own.

Paul Rodriguez’ Nike SB signature line already sees a wider distribution than all of the other Swoosh Skateboarding footwear, apparel and accessories, so it’s a logical choice to see his latest flagship model as SB’s first NIKEiD offering. Get ready to spend hours blocking your favorite color schemes onto the Nike SB P-Rod 5 iD, a relatively simple model that offers a deceptively rich array of customization options. These sample images reveal the range of colors you can expect starting Friday, August 5th on materials including full grain leather, suede, Elephant print and a reflective synthetic. Click through to see a few prototypes and let us know what you have planned for the P-Rod V iD.

The Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 featured a hidden Lunar insole embedded inside the shoe, but this funky version of the Nike SB P-Rod V proudly features the Lunar running cushioning footbed. It’s a simple sole-swap of the P-Rod V, with the upper slightly modded to fit the voluptuous and curvy shape of the Lunar outsole, and according to DJ Clark Kent, who graced us with this picture, these are expected to release as a Hyperstrike. Check out the extra image below and let us know what you think of this Lunar-laden P-Rod V shoe. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on additional release info as it emerges.

We’ve compared Paul Rodriguez Jr. to fellow LA sports star Kobe Bryant and even loosely to His Airness, Michael Jordan, but would you believe he might be even more similar to the Mozilla Firefox web browser? Both saw their early work take flight in the ’00s, this decade bringing faster development cycles and a fifth edition sure to warrant a huge number of upgrades this summer. But instead of spinning while you wait for that eBay auction you’ve been watching to refresh, the Nike SB P-Rod V is made with LunarLon soles to provide one of the lightest and most comfortable rides in the history of skateboarding sneakers. Click through to see more of this chocolate brown suede P-Rod 5 and stick with Sneaker News for more previews and release dates.
