Its very construction all but ensures nothing but clean colorways for the Nike SB Zoom Koston One, and here’s another satisfying one for the holiday season. Were this particular palette applied to, say, an Air Jordan Retro or any of the Nike Sportswear ’80s basketball designs, it’d be easy to call the Granite and Dark Obsidian combo a ‘Georgetown Hoyas’ look, but as it stands they’re an utterly timeless design with no need to namecheck anyone outside their designer and signature endorsee. Nike SB is elegantly aging out of the days where their Dunks dominated each season, instead expanding their offerings to the core skate crowd. Part of that process has included handing out signature models to the likes of guys like Stefan Janoski and Eric Koston. The latter’s low top, LunarLon padded silhouette has been a hit out of the gates, and we’ve got a preview of whats in store next year for the Nike SB Zoom Koston 1. The three colorways shown here should show up just before summer, giving you plenty of options for when the weather dries out. While there’s still a gang of must have SB’s set to drop before the year’s end (with the Entourages at the top of that list) it’s never too soon to set your sights on the future. With that in mind, we have an extensive look at the Spring 2012 collection from Nike SB, ranging from Dunks to more functionally oriented skate shoes like the various Koston and P-Rod offerings. On the Dunk side of things Nike SB is dead set on carrying on with the strapless version of the Nike SB Mids, with the re-released ‘Grip Tape’ Nike SB Dunk Mids being perhaps the last time we’ll see that form of support on a pair of SB’s. Other releases in the dunk range include a familiar looking colorway in the Un-Tiffany’s, a flip on the highly sought after Tiffany SB’s from 2005. The other Dunk Low previewed here is something totally new, with a bone grey pebbled leather on the upper paired with a reptile green swoosh in faux-snakeskin. For the newer models we’ve got a look at a few P-Rod colorways as well as Janoski Mids and Koston 1′s. Take a full look at all these and more after the jump and let us know which ones you’ll be making room for in your spring rotation. Via n-sb.org

As the Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 is a sneaker still in its infancy, there are still so many go-to colorways we’ve yet to see show up on this shoe. Already branching out the Nike SB tributes like the ‘Tiffany’ Nike SB Zoom Koston 1, Koston’s signature still has a lot of ground to cover on the basics. The above black and white joints first previewed here are a great start, spiced up ever so slightly by the red shade of pimento. The materials here are consistent with other Koston releases, sticking to the standard suede. Continue reading for a full look at this Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 and grab a pair now from Flatspot.

Right now Eric Koston is out in China doing his thing at the Festival of Sport, ripping up skate demos for the seas of lucky onlookers with his Nike SB brethren. And while we’ve yet to see photo proof, we’d be surprised if he were doing so than anything other than the Nike SB Zoom Koston 1, his high-tech lunar infused signature shoe. Check out this new colorway of Koston’s finest, which comes in a deep blue suede that dominates the upper. This sneaker has been hitting with consistent colorways since its release and this particular one is a welcome addition. Lately Nike SB has been taking the Nike Sportswear approach, adopting ‘lifestyle’ colorways to its skate-shoe models for the everyday wearable look. Just take a look back at a few years ago and you’ll see that Nike SB colorists have spurned the bright neon tones for muted, darker tones, like Anthracite, Oil Green, Binary Blue, and Blue Dusk. Of course, it’s the materials that also give a sneaker its character, and Nike SB’s penchant for buttery suedes, gentle canvas, and denim twill have taken the sub-label to new heights, and the September 2011 footwear roll-out serves as a sign of things to come for the coming Holiday 2011 season. Check out all of the Nike SB September 2011 Footwear, which includes the Nike SB Dunk High in Anthracite/Gold Dust that was previewed over the weekend and a few new Janoskis and Harbors, and let us know what you think of the coming month’s collection.

As the summer days go by, Nike SB’s plans for spring come into clearer focus with the preview of another Q1 2012 release. We’d just mentioned the spread of LunarLon into all corners of the Nike, Inc. campus and pictured above is the model that’ll forever be remembered as the first skateboarding shoe to feature the space age superlight foam, the Nike SB Zoom Koston 1. This Tar suede edition adds a Redwood Swoosh for a look that’s perfect for the cold weather, and their earthy versatility means you can keep ‘em in your rotation throughout the year. With Eric Koston being a long time member of Nike SB, putting his touches on various Dunk models throughout his tenure on the team, it was only a matter of time before he got his own signature. Some would say too much time, but the Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 is here at last, and skaters have welcomed the results with open arms. The simplistic looking silhouette betrays the high tech innards of this shoe, which utilizes Nike’s Lunar technology to bring a new level of cushioning to skate shoes. This latest colorway is one of the darker editions, featuring an upper dipped in a nearly black suede, with minimal red accents on the outsole, insole, and Nike SB badge on the back. Continue reading for more photos of this Nike SB Zoom Koston 1, which is available now at SB accounts like Premier.
