For those sneakerheads who love the traditional styling of the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski series, February is shaping up to be quite a solid month.  Stef’s SB signatures set the table for the rest of the 02/12 lineup, the simple three-toned colorways utilized on the low and midtop versions exactly the kind of simple satisfaction you can expect from the rest of the set.  Additional standouts include the Ironstone Dunk Low SB with Barn red accents and the ubiquitous white Dunk midsole, SB Blazers in both High and Low and white-on-black renditions of both Eric Koston and Paul Rodriguez’ latest sig releases.  You can see each pair of these up-close by clicking on the jump below, then look for them at select Swoosh skateboarding stockists like Premier.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid – Dark Slate – Sandalwood – Gum Medium Brown

Nike SB just proved that navy and brown on one of Stefan Janoski’s signature sneakers is a can’t-miss proposition, so despite the proximity to the recent ‘Inuit’ Quickstrike, this new Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid is sure to attract a sizeable following. This shoe has become immensely popular because of its crossover appeal, and you can’t get much more versatile than a colorway that can accommodate almost any clothing options you might consider wearing with them. They don’t have the fuzzy sockliners that marked the ‘Inuit’ drop, but these should prove equally serviceable (if not more so) when you pick up a pair from Nike SB retailers like Flatspot.

The overwhelming popularity of Stefan Janoski’s Nike SB signature series has led to more Quickstrike releases than any Swoosh skateboarding model this side of the venerable Dunk, and the latest is well timed with the nastiest weather of the year presumably right around the corner for most sneakerheads in the northern hemisphere.  The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski ‘Inuit’ will keep you warm with its sherling sockliner adding a snow-beating appeal to this Obsidian leather design with brown piping and laces.  The D-ring eyelets and leather tongue patch really push the theme over the top here and make for a shoe that’s both rugged and quite obviously of a premium build, and you’ll find them in-store only at select Nike SB retailers like Premier.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid Premium ‘Inuit’

December 21st, 2011 by | 6 comments

We’ve seen a huge variety of sneakers influenced by classic casual and winter styles in recent years including duckboots, wingtips and chukka boots, just to name a few.  Two of the very most popular of these appropriations have been boat shoe sendups and hiking/work boot-inspired looks, and each typically transforms its recipient design so significantly that there’s been no overlap.  But with the newNike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid Premium ’Inuit’, we’re starting with a shoe built on the foundation of the classic Sperry Docksider, so it’s not all that much work to make them look way warmer thanks to metal D-ring eyelets and a fuzzy navy blue sockliner to match the leather upper.  These will arrive at select Nike SB retailers as one of January 2012′s Quickstrike releases, though if the past week or so has taught us anything, it’s that next year’s kicks are releasing earlier than expected to cash in on the Christmas rush.  This is one pair that’s well worth your hard earned cash as well as your attention, so click through to see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date.  via Dunkbar

Nike SB January 2012 Quickstrikes – Available

As promised just a short while ago, here’s a look at January 2012′s Nike SB Quickstrike footwear.  For those of you who might be novices to the sneaker game, a Quickstrike means these two pairs are released in limited numbers, and available in-store only.  For experienced sneakerheads, it means extra collectability and often signals top-tier construction and materials.  Both of next month’s pairs echo one of the trends we’ve seen in early ’12 previews, namely a reliance upon black as the centerpiece of a series of simple colorways.  For the Nike SB Dunk High Pro, it’s a tumbled Clay suede atop crisp black nubuck, while the Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid SB switches its black upper to suede and goes with a gum brown vulcanized sole.  Peep both up close after the jump but you’ll have to head out to your local SB shop like Premier to get these, and don’t wait too long or they’ll be gone!

It’s not even Christmas yet (we know that because the Air Jordan XI Retro ‘Concord’ is still awaiting its early morning mass mobs lineups), and already select Nike SB retailers are starting to get their January 2012 footwear in stock.  Let’s start with a Nike SB Dunk Low in a bold mix of navy blue, black and gold whose basketball-like pebbled underlay makes these even more of a reminder of Michigan’s Nike days.  Coming up next is something you might expect more from Wisconsin, a Golden Hops suede-backed Dunk Mid Pro SB whose black leather overlay that looks so supple they could be a Premium.  The Stefan Janoski makes an unprecedented offering with black and Anthracite pairs releasing in both the lowtop and Mid silhouettes, a simple black suede design echoed by the ’SB Chronicles’ Team Edition SE we’ve shown you a couple times this week.  Rounding out the set are a ‘Tiffany’ Zoom Bruin SB and the Omar Salazar LR in navy and white, which means this is the first month in a while without a P-Rod signature model.  We know for a fact there are more models on the way and we’ll be showing a couple of Quickstrikes a bit later this morning, so click through for more of this set and meet all your Swoosh skateboarding needs with Premier.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid – Black Canvas – Red

The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski and its midtop variant are naturally conducive to simple colorways, and many of these have offered neutral and otherwise subtle looks over the past couple years.  But here’s a new pair you can expect for 2012 that might be the most aggressive one we’ve seen yet, a black canvas pair adding red accents along with a white vulcanized sole.  They don’t have the leather and suede necessary for a true comparison to the ‘Vamp’ Dunk Low SB, but that’s still a bit closer than the obvious Chicago Bulls connection inherent to any bred sneaker release.  Click through so you can see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Nike SB release dates.  via N-SB
