Wingtip shoes have always been a popular style of dress shoe, but it’s made a furious leap into the casual lifestyle sector – particularly with sneakers. Skate brands like Vans and Nike SB have dabbled with the prim and proper wing-tip styling, with the latter pushing forth the ‘Brogue’ edition of the mid-top Janoski that hit stores in 2011. Solecity Pinas tweaked the Mids by giving it an all-black upper with a contrasting white toe-cap for an old-school appeal. Better than the originals? Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid ‘Nori’

A design so good it can’t be contained by just Swoosh skateboarding retailers, the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid is back with a new colorway for April that might remind you of something labeled ‘SB’ from last month. Its application in canvas twill makes a pretty big difference in the green in question when compared to March’s all-suede Dunk Mid SB ‘Nori’, but given that these two and a single Blazer Low SB are the only pairs to ever feature it, they’re bound to be linked until we see more. So is this new Nori twill as seen on the Stefan Janoski Mid SB yummier than the suede shade from the aforementioned Dunks and Blazers? Let us know when you click through for another taste of these ”Nori’ Janoski Mids and grab yours today from NikeStore.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid ‘Light Bone’

nike sb stefan janoski mid light bone 1 Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid Light Bone

How long will Stefan Janoski’s signature sneakers continue to carry the ‘SB’ label?  We know that pro models like his, Eric Koston’s and Paul Rodriguez’ are slated to be available at more retailers than ever later this year along with the SB/6.0 restructuring plan, and it’s with good reason that a pair like this one sees a wider distribution.   The combination of Light Bone suede, an Anthracite Swoosh and gum on the vulcanized sole of this Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid and you’ve got a can’t miss combo with the kind of timeless style that’s crushing it with the most fashionable skaters and scenesters these days.  Check them out after the jump, let us know what yout think and whether these have a chance during the Holiday 2012 season shaping up to offer so much heat that kids will probably end up missing school days (but with all that heat, we bet it won’t be because of the snow).  via N-SB

For those sneakerheads who love the traditional styling of the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski series, February is shaping up to be quite a solid month.  Stef’s SB signatures set the table for the rest of the 02/12 lineup, the simple three-toned colorways utilized on the low and midtop versions exactly the kind of simple satisfaction you can expect from the rest of the set.  Additional standouts include the Ironstone Dunk Low SB with Barn red accents and the ubiquitous white Dunk midsole, SB Blazers in both High and Low and white-on-black renditions of both Eric Koston and Paul Rodriguez’ latest sig releases.  You can see each pair of these up-close by clicking on the jump below, then look for them at select Swoosh skateboarding stockists like Premier.

Nike SB just proved that navy and brown on one of Stefan Janoski’s signature sneakers is a can’t-miss proposition, so despite the proximity to the recent ‘Inuit’ Quickstrike, this new Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid is sure to attract a sizeable following. This shoe has become immensely popular because of its crossover appeal, and you can’t get much more versatile than a colorway that can accommodate almost any clothing options you might consider wearing with them. They don’t have the fuzzy sockliners that marked the ‘Inuit’ drop, but these should prove equally serviceable (if not more so) when you pick up a pair from Nike SB retailers like Flatspot.

The overwhelming popularity of Stefan Janoski’s Nike SB signature series has led to more Quickstrike releases than any Swoosh skateboarding model this side of the venerable Dunk, and the latest is well timed with the nastiest weather of the year presumably right around the corner for most sneakerheads in the northern hemisphere.  The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski ‘Inuit’ will keep you warm with its sherling sockliner adding a snow-beating appeal to this Obsidian leather design with brown piping and laces.  The D-ring eyelets and leather tongue patch really push the theme over the top here and make for a shoe that’s both rugged and quite obviously of a premium build, and you’ll find them in-store only at select Nike SB retailers like Premier.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid Premium ‘Inuit’

nike sb zoom stefan janoski mid premium inuit 5 570x380 Nike SB Stefan Janoski Mid Premium Inuit

We’ve seen a huge variety of sneakers influenced by classic casual and winter styles in recent years including duckboots, wingtips and chukka boots, just to name a few.  Two of the very most popular of these appropriations have been boat shoe sendups and hiking/work boot-inspired looks, and each typically transforms its recipient design so significantly that there’s been no overlap.  But with the newNike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Mid Premium ’Inuit’, we’re starting with a shoe built on the foundation of the classic Sperry Docksider, so it’s not all that much work to make them look way warmer thanks to metal D-ring eyelets and a fuzzy navy blue sockliner to match the leather upper.  These will arrive at select Nike SB retailers as one of January 2012′s Quickstrike releases, though if the past week or so has taught us anything, it’s that next year’s kicks are releasing earlier than expected to cash in on the Christmas rush.  This is one pair that’s well worth your hard earned cash as well as your attention, so click through to see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date.  via Dunkbar
