The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski is itself a symbol of how a part of the sneaker market has rejected flashy ‘bling’ in favor of time-tested traditional styling, so when this docksider-inspired design comes to retail with a Metallic Silver upper, one of two things is going to happen. It seems the reflective 3M possibility is still on the table, given that these new Janoskis have opted instead to manifest the signature shade in as inconspicuous a material as possible: jersey fleece. This provides for a lightly heathered texture that’s lightyears away from any of the 3M fare we’ve seen in recent years; how do you think this approach compares to the more eye-catching look? Let us know when you click through to see more of this March 2012 shipment and grab yours at select Nike SB retailers like Premier.

The ‘Neon’ edition caused quite a stir when its first photos popped up just yesterday, but while we wait for that tennis ball-leaning design, don’t forget that there’s another all-yellow Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski on the way. This one takes the yellow thing in a completely different direction, opting for the golden Hay shade in a textured leather plus black piping to match the tongue tag and foxing band. They’re not a Quickstrike or otherwise limited enough to call them a ‘needle in the haystack’, but you will have to make the effort to grab these at Nike SB brick & mortar locations like Premier who’re keeping them as a ‘Below the Line’ in-store exclusive.

Stefan Janoski’s a NorCal native, but something tells us he’s been spending considerable time in Asia of late. Coming on the heels of the newly revealed 8FIVE2 collabo from Hong Kong are these initial images of an entirely neon Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski that recenty surfaced in Thailand. They’re arguably Swoosh skateboarding’s most uniform colorway to date, even during a period that’s seen such a shift toward simplified color palettes that many of the SB Dunks hearken back to time tested classics. That does not, however, mean that these will in any way mix into a crowd, so get ready to break necks everywhere you go in an utterly neon boat-turned-skate sneaker, and click on the jump below to see more. via N-SB

Stefan Janoski’s hometown of Vacaville, California doesn’t have a Nike SB retailer of its own, so when it came time for a store to collaborate on his signature model, Stef didn’t just drive on I-80 to Fairfield or Sacramento. The Hong Kong-born 8FIVE2 x Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski is coming up with a stark green-on-black contrast that adds a golden Swoosh to complete one of the darkest Janoski sigs we’ve seen to date. We’ve seen the two-tone construction done in a variety of materials, and while the black part looks to be sueded, the green could prove to be something else entirely. Nike SB has tended toward toned-down looks for a good while now, but one drop that’s sure to garner a ton of attention each year is the shoe set to release on and thematically represent a certain notorious day two-thirds of the way through April. The past two years have given us Todd Bratrud’s ‘Skunk’ and ‘Cheech and Chong’ Dunk High SBs on 4/20, but this time around Swoosh skateboarding looks within to find inspiration from a classic silver box drop of the lowtop version. The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski will release in a green-outlined, gum-soled white suede design reminiscent of August oh-four’s hemp-uppered ’Bonsai’ Dunk Low Pro SB, but will they excite rebellious skaters as much as the Bratrud designs? Let us know what you think when you click through for more angles, and stick with Sneaker News for updates. via N-SB

For those sneakerheads who love the traditional styling of the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski series, February is shaping up to be quite a solid month. Stef’s SB signatures set the table for the rest of the 02/12 lineup, the simple three-toned colorways utilized on the low and midtop versions exactly the kind of simple satisfaction you can expect from the rest of the set. Additional standouts include the Ironstone Dunk Low SB with Barn red accents and the ubiquitous white Dunk midsole, SB Blazers in both High and Low and white-on-black renditions of both Eric Koston and Paul Rodriguez’ latest sig releases. You can see each pair of these up-close by clicking on the jump below, then look for them at select Swoosh skateboarding stockists like Premier.
