nike sb zoom stefan janoski turquoise croc sample 5 Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Turquoise Croc Skin Sample

The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski has received a ton of praise for its cross-over ability, establishing a following in both the skate culture and lifestyle streetwear scene. Where this Janoski sample belongs is up to you. Here’s a look at a pair of Janoskis that feature faux croc-skin on the upper, colored up in a deep turquoise blue with contrasting units via the the golden swoosh and tongue label; this funky-meets-fresh colorway is quite the aberration from the typically understated and simplistic color-ups we’ve seen thus far, so do you think it’s time for the Janoski to receive a high-energy jolt like this? Check out the images below and let us know what you’d like to see from the Janoski line, and if you’re interested in what the final bidding price was for this item, check out the listing from art_of_selling1234 on eBay.

Nike SB January 2012 Footwear – Available

nike sb january 2012 footwear available Nike SB January 2012 Footwear Available

It’s not even Christmas yet (we know that because the Air Jordan XI Retro ‘Concord’ is still awaiting its early morning mass mobs lineups), and already select Nike SB retailers are starting to get their January 2012 footwear in stock.  Let’s start with a Nike SB Dunk Low in a bold mix of navy blue, black and gold whose basketball-like pebbled underlay makes these even more of a reminder of Michigan’s Nike days.  Coming up next is something you might expect more from Wisconsin, a Golden Hops suede-backed Dunk Mid Pro SB whose black leather overlay that looks so supple they could be a Premium.  The Stefan Janoski makes an unprecedented offering with black and Anthracite pairs releasing in both the lowtop and Mid silhouettes, a simple black suede design echoed by the ’SB Chronicles’ Team Edition SE we’ve shown you a couple times this week.  Rounding out the set are a ‘Tiffany’ Zoom Bruin SB and the Omar Salazar LR in navy and white, which means this is the first month in a while without a P-Rod signature model.  We know for a fact there are more models on the way and we’ll be showing a couple of Quickstrikes a bit later this morning, so click through for more of this set and meet all your Swoosh skateboarding needs with Premier.

Nike SB Stefan Janoski ‘Corona’

December 6th, 2011 by | 5 comments

nike sb zoom stefan janoski corona 1 570x414 Nike SB Stefan Janoski Corona

It was just last week that Sneaker News brought you word of a Corona x Supra Cuttler collaboration that had a white hightop accented with navy and gold hits to mimic the Mexican beer most strongly associated with pristine beaches.  Proof that you don’t need the bottle itself on the outsole or even an official teamup with Grupo Modelo to nail the same look is apparent here with this upcoming Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski.  The ‘Corona’ Janoski Lows feature that same look thanks to lines on the piping and foxing band, and with a summer 2012 release date scheduled, we can’t help but think they’d be perfect for a May release in honor of Cinco de Mayo.  Click through to see some more angles and stick with Sneaker News for word on the official US release date.  via N-SB

Nike SB 2012 Preview – P-Rod VI & More

nike sb 2012 preview p rod 6 and more 1 Nike SB 2012 Preview P Rod VI & More

Mallgoing sneakerheads and those abreast of Nike’s machinations within the action sports market realize that the 6.0 division has seen a marked improvement in terms of design and customer acceptance in recent years, owing at least in part to their closer imitation of big brother Nike SB.  And with SBs now available more widely than ever before, it’s not entirely shocking to see some convergence in these forces at your local promenade, but this could still turn out to be some very significant news moving into 2012.

Catalog images confirm further crossover between Nike SB and 6.0, notable combinations including the upcoming Mavrk 3 and its Eric Koston 1-borrowed sole that’s a little bit more surprising than seeing the Zoom FC with the Future Primitive bottoms.  Also on the way soon is the LunarLon cushioned P-Rod 5 LR and the series next rendition, the Nike SB P-Rod 6.  Add to that rumors about the availability of the entire Nike SB line as it relates to traditional skate shops vs. mall retailers, and fans of Swoosh skate shoes have a curious new trajectory for the immediate future.  Click through to see more of what’s in store and let us know how you feel about the potential for all non Premium or Quickstrike releases to have a wider availability.  via N-SB

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski – Vintage Purple – Black

nike sb vintage purple black janoski low 1 570x414 Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Vintage Purple Black

Judging by the looks we’ve had so far at the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski releases scheduled for 2012, the Nike SB design team seems to have picked up on one of the more subtle ways to give this sneaker some pop. The ’4/20′ and ‘Wheat’ colorways have both shown a contrasting color on the piping, and this so-called vintage purple version slated for next year does the same. Keeping it from being just another black release, the royal tones than run along the piping introduce just enough color to let the sneaker turn some heads. Sneaker News showed you an upcoming Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski colorway for 2012 cast in the classic ‘Takeshi’ combo of black and gold, but if you need your skate -slash- boat shoe fix before this year’s up, maybe you’d consider a slight variation? This new Stefan Janoski SB pictured above goes for a mix of navy blue suede and golden brown accents, this pair’s Swoosh-into-ankle collar blocking offering a new pattern we wouldn’t mind seeing replicated across a variety of color combinations. Check them out in greater detail after the jump, then grab yours from a Nike SB retailer like Premier.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski – Unreleased Samples

November 22nd, 2011 by | 3 comments

nike sb zoom stefan janoski unreleased sample 11 570x427 Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Unreleased Samples

When it comes to Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski samples, most of what we’ve seen over the past couple years has eventually made its way to market.  Notable items previewed in this way include this year’s ‘Brogue’ Mids and the ‘Wino’ Quickstrike, but an even more radical departure from the Janoski’s base construction was in the works and might have even turned out to be the final verison of the shoe.  In a parallel universe, this sample version would have replaced the Zoom Stefan Janoski SB we’ve come to know and love, but it’s hard even with your best sci-fi/fantasy hats on, to imagine this edition outselling the hugely popular boat shoe-infused final release.  But you could argue that we got a taste of this design even if it didn’t have Stefan’s name attached, their classic skate style not all too dissimilar from the P-Rod 4 we got a short while after the Janoski debuted in 2009.  Do you agree Nike SB made the right call here?  Click through to see the non-boat Janoski samples and stick with Sneaker News for more rare Nike SB showoffs.  via N-SB
