Nike Sportswear isn’t done with the Year of the Snake stuff just yet. There are, at the very least, three more pairs we can expect that will come equipped with that reptilian look as a nod to the Chinese zodiac calender. They are the Solarsoft bunch grouped together here, which includes the Nike Solarsoft Moccasin Woven, the Nike Solarsoft Mule Woven, and the Nike Solarsoft Rache Woven. And while they’ve all got scales and the Solarsoft x Woven combo that’s where the similarities end-as each silhouette sports a pretty unique colorway and overall build. Nike Lunar meets Nike Woven on the new Nike Solarsoft Rache Woven Premium, a sneaker whose ‘premium’ nature somehow crammmed into an $80 price tag. The whole thing is a laceless, slip-op style affair that manages to lock the foot down a little bit what with the woven wrap that hugs the foot where you’d expect the typical lacing system to hit. What’s to like about Nike’s Solarsoft releases? For one, they’re incredibly comfortable – think clouds and marshmallows shaped into a midsole. More importantly, they’ve made sleek and sexy NSW designs much more affortable; the Solarsoft Moccasin is just $65 a pop, and this Woven-toe design called the Rache Woven is a mere $80. The sick mid-foot shroud inter-weaved with the Woven fibers and the skeletal ribcage on the heel make these truly a must-have for fans of the Woven category, and for $80? Sign us up. It Turns out that the sick pair of the Nike Solarsoft Moccasin Woven Premium with anaconda material has a similar version on its sister model – this Solarsoft Rache Woven Premium. Like the Moccasin, this version features the same reptilian print on the upper to go along with the Woven toe-box and unique heel-construction, completing one of the most intriguing “Pack” releases for this upcoming season. The idea of comfort has been skewed toward the concept of ‘lightweight’, which the upcoming 2013 release of the Solarsoft Rache Woven seems to grasp rather easily. Featuring a Woven upper on the cushy Solarsoft base, the Rache Woven features a unique mid-foot shroud that incorporates the Woven at the forefoot and a minimal Woven fiber heel construction that exposes the foot.
