It hasn’t been out at the forefront thanks to so many new lifestyle designs from Nike Sportswear, but don’t count out their original chukka sneaker just yet. The Nike Toki has already proven it can come back when many are suggesting it’s done for, and now we get a new version that offers an even sleeker appeal for ladies. The WMNS Toki Lite is something like a Toki Mid Deconstruct, these grey and black suede pairs having been stripped down to their essence for the highest ratio of style-to-materials. Have another look below, let us know which you like better and find these at NSW stores like Titolo.

With all the new Nike Sportswear lifestyle silhouettes in circulation, 2012 has been a quiet year for the Nike Toki. Each effort we have seen from this Sebaku-inspired chukka has been superb, including the Premium iD options, the most recent Sail canvas drop and a few Size? exclusives. This new pair pictured above in white leather is also only available at the question mark store, a top-tier construction whose brown leather tongue tag is identical to Size?’s exclusive Premium Blazer High (though you might not have noticed that tag, given it’s the same color as that entire upper). Size? has the inside track on a variety of NSW silos; where does this one rank against their previous output?

All of a sudden it isn’t so easy being a lifestyle sneaker in the Swoosh lineup, with tons of strong silhouettes vying to fill that role (the Nike Gyle Mid the the Roshe Run to name a few). And while those newcomers have a reasonable shot at the throne there will always be a place in our rotation for the Nike Toki, that clean chukka styled sneaker that does so much with so little. This time around the model gets the VNTG treatment, with the pearly white midsole being dirtied up just a bit with some faux-distressing to bring them to an off white shade that almost matches with the sail color of the upper. British sneaker suppliers Size? got an exclusive full grain leather Nike Toki last October, a model that moved so quickly the next set had to be four times as large. The first two of those new designs will drop this Friday, April 20th, Ice Blue and Mint Green designs with tonal piping, eyelets and laces plus contrasting suede tongue tags and white vulc soles. There are only 500 pairs of each color, so even with olive and navy pairs still to be released, you’ll need to act fast to get your pair from Size? on Friday. Check them out in additional images after the jump below and stick with Sneaker News for release info for the other two Size? Toki Mids as well as their upcoming All Court 2s.

The most recent Nike Toki release to make waves was a Supreme-level Quickstrike with a luxurious leather-wrapped midsole, but don’t forget that this top-tier option first appeared on the Toki iD last November. The Toki Premium iD allows you to customize a pair to your exact specifications, starting with the choice of suede or leather for the upper. About half of the colors are available in both, the other half exclusive to their material, but all of them can be built with either a leather wrap or a premium smooth rubber tape. Little details like lining color, lace color and material type, eyelet color and even accent stitching make these ripe with combinations, and you can see a few samples after the jump below. Get a sense for a few of the possibilities NIKEiD is offering and then head over to craft your own.

British sneaker specialists Size? have racked up quite a few collaborative releases in recent months, and just like the majority of those exclusives, these go for a casual approach with old school sport inspiration. The Size? Nike Sportswear capsule brings us four new Nike Tokis along with two All Court Mids, all crafted in premium leathers and brushed suede, and all occupying the cool part of the color wheel where you’ll find blue, grey and white chillin’ in perfect harmony. Especially with the tonal blue background, this is one of the frostiest sets we’ve seen without overt winter theming, and it looks like we’ll be seeing the 500 pair runs of each design releasing gradually over the next few months. Stick with Sneaker News for the exact release dates, and in the meantime, click through to see the whole capsule.

Rumors circulating in the middle of this year regarding the Nike Toki‘s demise (or at least temporary retirement) were premature, and the Nike Sportswear lifestyle sneaker lineup is all the better for it. They’ve come together with to of the Swoosh’s dressier best and this trio of leather-wrapped-gumsoled Quickstrikes instantly stands out as among the nicest looking casual packs NSW has ever issued. A Henna brown leather Toki Supreme is joined by the relatively new Hachi in Pecan and an Aina Chukka whose woven body is cast in Dark Cinder with a moccasin toe added for good measure. This trio is a promising look at what we might expect from Beaverton’s top-tier casual releases moving forward; which of the three catches your eye? Click through for a series of new images and expect these in the US soon; they drop tomorrow at Tokyo’s Nike Harajuku.

Nike Sportswear continues to diversify their range of lifestyle sneakers, dropping this quick strike pack with a collection of mids that adopt the brown shoe look. The trio consists of the Nike Toki, Nike Hachi, and the Nike Aina Chukka which all get a deep tan leather for the upper. The truly remarkable part comes on the lower construction though, with a leather midsole wrapping around the shoe and gum bottoms for the outsole. The Swoosh styling on these is pretty minimal, showing up through the perforated sections on the Hachi and Toki and even less than that on the Aina Chukka, resulting in a pretty clean look.
