The Nike Toki is the uber-casual, lifestyle friendly, pseudo high-end Nike Sportswear offering that became awfully popular when it debuted back in 2009. It also fell victim to one of those ‘wrong place at the wrong time’ situations when the Toki was spotted on LeBron James’ feet when he made his one-hour ‘Decision’ on national TV. That’s a tidbit of trivia that only sneakerheads would even know about, but regardless of that fact the Toki is still widely popular and will continue to be now that we have these new women’s colorways dropping soon. These canvas-uppered Tokis feature funky graphics and designs on the upper – the Bold Berry in a seersucker-like pinstripe and the Bright Cerise in a Mexican Blanket motif. Both should begin to hit NSW retailers come August, so take a look below and let us know if the Nike Toki is one of the best casual shoes out today. via kickscrew.

Nike’s lifestyle footwear has taken huge strides over the last few years, with shoes like the Nike Toki, inspired by older Nike models (like the Air Sabaku Mid), paving the way for more casual-inspired sneakers. These new Toki releases feature canvas uppers in tonal colorways – obsidian and iguana olive green – paired with clean white leather swooshes on the upper and on the heel tab. These simple two-toned colorways have a Blazer-like feel to ‘em, with with a more refined look that gives the Toki its trademark. END has both colorways available for a pre-order so take a look at both colorways below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more release info.

And while this modern classic also debuted two years ago, this is our first look at a pack of Nike Toki NDs done in nylon uppers. These joints add tonal leather Swooshes and piping to aide their clean lifestyle leanings and pairs in navy, grey and kelly green each offer their own take on effortless summertime style. Click through for more photos of all three, let us know which one(s) you like and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date. via atmos

Not sure if you heard, but last summer, LeBron James made a ‘decision’ that will live on in infamy. ‘Bron showed up to the Greenwich, CT Boys and Girls Club rocking a deep red and white checked button-down with matching Vitamin Water and a pair of raw denim, but we at Sneaker News were keyed in on his choice of the oiled brown leather Nike Toki to finish off the fit. Those Quickstrikes were a big enough hit last year that Nike Sportswear is bringing their midtop chukka back in a similar look, this time a full grain leather without any piping that adds a unique accent stitch on the lateral toe. These can be one of your go-to looks to compliment nearly any clothing combination from here to perpetuity and they’re available now at select NSW retailers like Boston’s Concepts.
