Nike Sportswear brought back the Nike Zoom Hyperflight recently with the “Superhuman” Pack, debuting some tonal graphic uppers representing the alter egos of Nike Basketball’s trio of superstars, and even the recent previewing of the Vis Zoom Hyperflights with the holographic lenticular upper has given this classic Nike hoops silhouette some energy. Later this year, the Hyperflight will take on a much more wild stance as we get a first look at the Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Orange Tiger” – a shoe that we first caught a glimpse of at a teaser preview of upcoming NSW releases. This enticing release features the feral orange/black graphic on the upper with hints of jungle green on the outsole, adding up to a distinct personality of a primal beast. Stay tuned to Sneaker News for more release info, and check out the gallery below.

That Nike Zoom Hyperflight sample with that full length bag on bottom just got a lot more interesting. We present to you the Nike Vis Zoom Hyperflight, done up here in an eye-popping “Hologram” colorway. The Nike Zoom Hyperflight proper of course got a retro this year via the “Superhero” pack, a group that was apparently just the beginning as far as graphics on the Hyperflight series is concerned. Aside from the obvious addition of the bag on bottom, the sneaker also features a reworked graphic on the tongue and a different set up for the mini perforations across the upper. This futuristic colorway is one that even has some Marty McFly leanings to it, immediately reminding some 80s babies of the lenticular cap that that character rocked in Back to the Future II. The final release of the Nike Zoom Hyperflight for this season drops tomorrow, with this “Red Reef” colorway also featuring a dope graphic like the previous three “Superhero” joints that hit stores in April. Although no direct tie to an NBA star has been made, some guesses like Blake Griffin and even Kyrie Irving have been made – although neither are signature athletes (and the former isn’t officially with Nike anymore). In any case, these are slated to drop tomorrow at Nike Basketball retailers, so take one last look and get them right now for under retail from kicksclusive on eBay.

We figure the re-issue of the Nike Zoom Hyperflight would re-open some doors to some of the notable releases from the early-2000s Alpha Project series, but did anyone anticipate a beefed up version of the original? This unnamed sample features the Nike Zoom Hyperflight upper with a full-length Zoom Air unit that first debuted on the Nike LeBron X, with the signature Alpha Project five-dot logo remaining on the forefoot of the outsole. Here we see two sample colorways – one in a multi-colored assortment and a second in a red camo composition, but who knows if these will ever release? Stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates on release info and the confirmed name of the this 360 Zoom Air Hyperflight and let us know what you think of these in the comments below.

The comeback of the Nike Zoom Hyperflight hasn’t been the wild hoopla that we might have expected. even with the “NRG” releases representing the Superhero personas of LeBron, Kobe, and KD. This fourth colorway of the Hyperflight is a stand-alone release, although some have wondered if this was intended for Blake Griffin before it was announced he was switching to Jordan Brand. In any case, this graphic upper with red streaks starting from the toe gives of that super-speed look, with the Court Purple trim adding a nice touch to the sick colorway. The Nike Zoom Hyperflight in “Red Reef” is ready for a release this Saturday at Nike retailers like Concepts, so check out the images below and get them right now on eBay.

There’s one more Nike Zoom Hyperflight colorway on deck from Nike Sportswear that does that “Superhero” thing. That would be this red reef, court purple, and black colorway that was part of early previews but has ended up with a little bit later date. Speculation surrounding the connected character in the NBA points to Blake Griffin, a previous darling of Nike Basketball who has since switched allegiances to the Jordan Brand team. Continue reading for more on the Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Superhero”, release date May 4th, and purchase an early pair from id4shoes on eBay.

The Nike Air Hyperflight was ahead of its time in 2001, both in terms of utilizing an all-synthetic upper and displaying a huge range of colorways that has in recent years become the norm. Now it’s back at the forefront as we head into Easter weekend thanks to a trio of intricate designs that stand out as this model’s most detailed to date. The ’Superhero’ Hyperflight collection puts the sleek upper to good use as a base for LeBron, Kobe and KD-inspired visuals; might these even be strong enough to rival the immensely popular Air Foamposite One when it comes to graphic-intensive uppers? These spectacular new images will only support this trio so you’ll want to click through to see a bunch more photos, then get ready for the Good Friday, March 29th drop at top Nike Sportswear retailers.
