The on-field/court swag of the University of Oregon student athletes is unmatched in the NCAA wholly in part due to Nike’s emphasized efforts in outfitting its founder’s alma mater with the best the brand has to offer. Ever since ‘Volt’ came into the scene, the Ducks were the unmatched big-men on campus, and if the basketball team rocks these energetic Hyperfuse 2K12s later this upcoming season, they’ll likely own that rank once again. Here’s a first look at a Volt/Gorge Green colorway of the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2012; it features a tonal Volt upper paired with the forest-y gorge green on the solid rubber outsole and the Swoosh for that Pacific-Northwest ‘Win The Day’ appeal. More angles of this upcoming release below, so take a look at the gallery below and let us know what you think. Photos: hoopcity

Hyperfuse is everywhere these days. From cutting edge performance runners and trainers to NSW classics and of course the basketball division where it got started, Nike is making the most of what’s so light yet strong it represents the least with which you can do so much. The model that started it all is still going in its third season with the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2012 readying itself for the upcoming season. This pair goes with a white base upon which black and gold accents are applied, and with the pair we just previewed having a distinct Michigan vibe, we can’t help but see these as a ‘home’ look for the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Zoom Hyperfuse 2012 is lightyears away from an ‘Original 7′ Dunk, so click through to see the future of basketball performance and stick with Sneaker News for the US launch date. via SM

There’s an upcoming Foamposite-uppered take on this shape utilizing some of the same technologies while older cousin Hyperdunk is both externalizing its Flywire and switching to LunarLon, but the Hyperfuse series will keep Nike Basketball in time with all the precision of a prog rock drummer. The Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2012 pushes the envelope a bit with its intricate contouring and the new blocking struture, with this USA Basketball colorway utilizing the same front-back split build seen on the eye-catching pink/blue sample. Will the Hyperfuse 2012 play as bit a role in the 2012 London Olympics as we expect from the Lunar Hyperdunk? Click through for more details and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for release info.
