Nike’s snowboard boot offerings continue to pay homage to well known palettes within the sneakerhead community, the recent Nike Air 180 looking Zoom Ites boot being followed up by this, the Nike Zoom Kaiju outfitted with an unmistakable Air Jordan III combo. Along with the black on cement grey colorblocking the boots even go so far as to don the elephant print, approximating the shape of those sections onto the chunky slope style. Owing to the relative lack of fresh corduroy across the country relative to the expanse of pavement pretty much everywhere you look, Nike Snowboarding is considered the ‘other’ SB as compared to Swoosh Skateboarding, but that won’t stop them from cranking out quality boots each year when the weather starts to get frosty. The latest drop brings in new colorways from two of the last couple years’ standbys and adds another that’s been throughly tested out in the wild. That new model, the Nike Vapen, can be seen to borrow a bit of the ‘cab-forward’ design found in Paul Rodriguez’ latest Nike SB signature, while the Zoom Kaiju‘s removable internal bootie bears more than a passing resemblance to the monster hit Nike Mag 2011 with its high cut and ankle strap. Rounding out the group is a series of new Zoom Force 1s for both men and women, and you can see the entire collection in greater detail when you click on the jump below.
