NIKE ZOOM KD IV The Nike Zoom KD IV is Kevin Durant’s fourth signature shoe and was designed by Leo Chang. It debuted in December of 2011 and features Adaptive Fit technology and Zoom Air cushioning. The Nike Zoom KD IV retailed for $95 and some of the most popular colorways were the ‘Year of the Dragon’, ‘Galaxy’, ‘Nerf’, and ‘Weatherman’.

Nike Zoom KD IV Aunt Pearl Think Pink

The Nike Zoom KD IV has proven to be Kevin Durant’s breakout signature, so it’s fitting that this year’s model featured more of the 23-year old, soon-to-be three-time scoring champ’s personal life on display than each of its predecessors.  The Zoom KD IV has given us colorways like the ‘Weatherman’ inspired by Durant’s childhood ambitions, the outstanding ‘Nerf’ package in reflection of the Durantula’s playful attitude and even a PE for his mother.  The latest revelation stays in the family, blending the ‘Think Pink’ WBCA initiative with a tribute to KD’s late Aunt Pearl who passed when Kevin was only eleven.  Their pearly heel panel is as eye-catching and unique as this memorial is heartfelt and filled with hope, and you can see some new details including the midfoot strap’s hidden message after the jump below.  Photos: malambert

Nike Zoom KD IV Aunt Pearl

We often forget that MVP-frontrunner and possible 2012 Scoring Champ (Three-peating in that award, should he come out atop the heap by this Friday) is just a 23-year-old kid. He’s remained so humble and focused because of how grounded his family keeps him, and it’s clear that the female authority figures have had as much of a profound effect on him as his coaches and mentors have. We already saw a special PE KD IV made for his mother Wanda, but today we get a look at another PE of sorts made for Aunt Pearl; it features a tonal pink profile with a translucent pink outsole and a black swoosh on a strap, but what makes it a visual masterpiece is the pearloid panel on the heel – an obvious play on his grand-aunt’s name. An overseas release for these has been reported, but we’ll keep you updated on the U.S. release. Photo: torres9 on ISS

Nike Zoom KD IV White Tour Yellow Photo Blue | Available

We’ve seen some punchy designs come out of Nike iD with the KD IV model, but truthfully, the folks at Nike Basketball did such a great job at colorizing some great releases, like this White/Tour Yellow-Photo Blue release. You immediately think of that ‘Entourage’ tie-in that we first saw a year ago with the LeBron 8 V/2, but these feature a flat white upper for a bit more of a ‘Home’ appeal. Will this be KD’s upcoming Playoff sneaker? Only time will tell (hopefully Nike’s got some sick PEs waiting for him), but you can find these available right now at Nike Basketball retailers like Mr R Sports for yourself, so peep this latest viewing of this new KD IV colorway below courtesy of ITSB and get yours now on eBay.

Nike Zoom KD IV Rogue Green Black Total Orange

It was LeBron James’ Nike Basketball lowtop signatures that led the way for performance models to show up in orange, black and neutral colorways for summer, but for obvious reasons, the King won’t be the name you think of when you examine this new Kevin Durant sig.  That’s because although they have a similarly vaguely ‘military’ look that’s shown up on several LeBron Lows, this new Nike Zoom KD IV opts for Rogue Green rather than grey for a palette that ends up too close to the legendary UNDFTD x Air Jordan IV not to mention what’s widely considered Jordan Brand’s finest collaborative release.  Then again, these are colors that naturally work together irrespective of the back story, and you can see more of this Undefeated-leaning Zoom KD 4 in additional images after the jump below.  These are arriving at select Asian retailers tomorrow so check back with Sneaker News for word on US availability and let us know how you feel about these in lieu of a KD IV Elite.  Via SM

NBA Feet: Around The League 4/12 4/13

Finishing off another solid week of NBA Feet is a recap of Wednesday and Thursday games, which featured plenty of Air Jordans, Player Exclusives, and Nike Retro Basketball kicks. Gilbert Arenas made his first appearance with the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’, while teammate Rudy Gay took the court with the Nike Air Max Tempo. Dwyane Wade rocked a Black/Red PE of the Jordan Fly Wade 2, while Kevin Durant led the Thunder wearing the Nike N7 Zoom KD IV in the Home colorway. Plenty more to see below, so take a look and let us know who brought the best heat to the NBA court! Photos: espn

NBA Feet: Kevin Durant Nike N7 Zoom KD IV Home

Last night, Sneaker News gave you a first detailed look at the upcoming duet of the KD IVs from the Nike N7 initiative, which aims to bring awareness of sports and physical activities to Native American and Aboriginal communities. Although the shoes won’t release until June, Durant himself placed Nike N7 in the spotlight by wearing them during last night’s contest against the Los Angeles Clippers, matching the ‘Home’ colorway with his appropriate uniform. Check out Durant and the N7 KD IV in action below and stay tuned to Sneaker News as we will keep you updated on release information. Photos: espn

Nike N7 Zoom KD IV

A few weeks back, we brought you a first look at a new N7 version of the Nike Zoom KD IV set to be a part of Nike’s upcoming summer 2012 collection. The Nike N7 initiative is a program created to help bring sports and physical activities to Native American and Aboriginal communities, and with the large populations residing in the Oklahoma area, Kevin Durant has become very familiar with the program and the people that it helps. When it came time for the next round of Nike N7 releases, Durant stepped up to collaborate on some special KD IV’s as his personal offering to the “Everybody Leaves A Footprint” campaign. The shoe was done up in both black and white colorways, each richly decorated with the special touches that have come to be expected on N7 footwear. The shoes won’t hit NikeStore and other select retailers until later this summer, but in the meantime, you can get a look at them on Kevin’s feet tonight against the Clippers. Official images and more info on the release and N7 program await after the jump along with a special video introduction from KD himself.

Nike Zoom KD IV Three 4 Five PE

The entertaining KD IV story continues in 2012 with a look at a PE colorway of the Nike Zoom KD IV; it features a Nike iD-like color palette rife with neon tones, but what isn’t Nike iD is the custom logo on the heel, which appears to be Durant riding a bicycle (KD’s known to ride his bike around the DC area, safely wearing a helmet) and text on the tongue reading ‘Three 4 Five’. Are looking at a possible Playoff PE for Durant to wear? Check out the extra angles below and let us know what you think, and we’ll keep you updated if more develops on this ‘Three 4 Five’ story.
