Another look at a sample colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe Gametime is here – this time taking one a “Joker”-like colorway of Grey/Purple/Green. The Gametime was actually a take-down model that released in Asia sometime last year, with the solid-rubber XDR outsole allowing for a more durable outsole for outdoor play, but do these have a lifestyle footwear capability like the Kobe signature models have had? Check out this interesting colorway below and let us know if you think there’s room for more Kobe models in the U.S., and check out the photos below from never_wear_these on eBay.

Outside of the U.S., a lot of Kobe-branded Nike Basketball models hit shelves with prices well under the flagship MSRP. Models like the Venomenon, Dream Season, and KB24 have all seen some level of success particularly in Asia, where The Black Mamba is king, and this new model dubbed the Nike Zoom Kobe Gametime was ready to be added to the mix. This particular colorway features the basic Lakers mix of Black, Yellow, and Grey, with the Kobe Shozoku logo displayed proudly on the heel and tongue (with the latter featuring a nice snakeskin material), and considering these were limited only to Asia, finding a pair in the U.S. is limited to online shops. This sample colorway is available so if you want to add to your Kobe collection, check out the listing from never_wear_these on eBay.

While the Lakers haven’t exactly played up to their expectations of being a league-wide powerhouse, there’s no doubt that the LA star is always in ‘Gametime’ mode. Kobe Bryant has led the Lakers back from the dead and into .500 territory, and there’s no reason why anyone should count the Lakers out of the Playoffs down the stretch. It’s not likely that Kobe will switch to this takedown model called the Nike Zoom Kobe Gametime, but we’re certain that his countless fans in Asia will be going after this clean colorway of White/Squadron Green-Varsity Crimson (and peep the clean addition of snakeskin on the tongue and heel foxing). These Kobe takedown models have long since been Asia exclusives, but let us know if you’d like to see other Kobes hit the U.S. market.

It’s clear that Nike Basketball’s approach to the Asian market is that of P. Diddy’s “can’t stop, won’t stop” as we get a look at yet another Kobe-branded take-down model for the near future. The Nike Zoom Kobe Gametime does in fact look like a stripped-down version of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII, with the tougher XDR outsole (made for the outdoor hoop nature of China) providing a bit more sturdiness. We can fully expect these to be limited to Asian retailers, but check out the twelve color combos after the jump and let us know which you like best.
