Nike Zoom Kobe VI – Unreleased Teal/Gold Promo Sample

kobe vi teal gold unreleased sample 9 Nike Zoom Kobe VI Unreleased Teal/Gold Promo Sample

Years down the line, when we look back at all the incredible innovations put forth by Nike Basketball, the Nike Zoom Kobe VI will most definitely be one of the highlights of the first era of the 21st Century. It continued the low-to-the-ground soccer-shoe appeal while incorporating one of the most unique materials on the exterior – the TPU-laden ‘snakeskin’ upper that allowed a sneaker to be colorized in a 3-D manner. The ‘Grinch‘ will likely go down as the best Kobe ever made, but what are your thoughts on this equally punchy promo sample in Teal and Gold? It’s likely that this sample is a PE for a Nuggets/Hornets player, but with no clear indications on this size 16 pair, it’s hard to tell. We’ve got a gallery below, so flip through and start bidding on this listing from thecoolshoeshine on eBay.

NBA Feet: 2012 Finals Game 2 Recap

nba feet finals game 2 22 NBA Feet: 2012 Finals Game 2 Recap

The OKC Thunder came back from down double-digits to pull out a win in Game 1. Unfortunately for the Thunder nation, Durant and Co. weren’t able to pull it off for Game 2, but it sure came down to the wire! Clearly it’s the slow starts that have been the Thunder’s achilles heel in the Playoffs thus far, so for Game 3, look for Scott Brooks to push the offense fast and early as OKC looks to recapture their hard-earned Home Court advantage. Looking onto the kicks – Durant rocked his Finals PE of the KD IV again while LeBron reverted to the ‘Away’ Elites to match the uniforms. Wade wore another Black/Gold PE of the Fly Wade 2 EV and Bosh went with his Air Max Hyperdunk 2011 Elite PE while pouring in 16 and 15. Perhaps the best ‘Feet’ belongs to Thabo Sefolosha, who wore a White/Gold Nike Zoom Kobe VI that very much had a ‘Big Stage’ vibe. We’ve got a recap of last night’s events below so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for Game 3 and the potential PE heat!¬†Photos: yahoo

Nike Zoom Kobe VI Wear-Test Sample

May 15th, 2012 by | 9 comments

nike zoom kobe vi wear test sample 6 Nike Zoom Kobe VI Wear Test Sample

Of the lengthy sneaker-design process, the Wear-Test stage is a make-or-break affair; it doesn’t matter if the shoe looks amazing – if it doesn’t perform to the standards of the athlete, it’s back to the drawing board for the design crew. Of course, a lot of elements from a sneaker’s predecessor is carried on, but when looking at the progress of Kobe V to VI, the most notable change is the enlarged heel-cup – perhaps Kobe needed a bit more stability in that area for when he makes his daring cuts sand drives to the hoop. This Wear-Test sample of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI shows the sneaker free of any structural support – just the snake-skin TPU shell and the stencil-pained Swoosh on the upper, and the a solid one-piece midsole without the design ridges and the heel Zoom chamber. With the minimalistic appeal of this sample, the Kobe VI almost looks like a funky lifestyle shoe rather than one that was made on court, but credit Eric Avar for bringing street style and basketball sense into one cohesive unit. A gallery awaits you below, so take a look and cop this sample now from identitiesrevealed on eBay.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI – Georgetown PE

February 9th, 2012 by | 3 comments

nike zoom kobe vi georgetown pe 4 Nike Zoom Kobe VI Georgetown PE

The Kobe VI has been praised as one of the most comfortable (if not the single most comfortable) shoe on the market last year, finding its way on the feet of college and NBA players worldwide. Even¬†Georgetown University, a Jordan Brand outfitted school, ‘bent’ the rules by allowing this PE to come to light! The entire squad is laced up in Jumpman gear, but the Kobe VI is such a comfortable high-performance shoe that the equipment directors decided to ‘turn the other way’. Of course, on-court performance is the highest priority, so if a player deems the Kobe VI as the shoe to bring out his best, there’s no reason to not let that go down. The Georgetown PE colorway features a the basic two-toned grey-on-navy around the shoe with a white detailing on the swoosh and logo on the tongue for the classic Hoya look. Nike Zoom Kobe Historical Comparison

January 11th, 2012 by | 25 comments

nike zoom kobe historical comparison 14 Nike Zoom Kobe Historical Comparison

In 2003, Kobe Bryant was officially added to the exclusive bunch of Nike signature athletes, joining the likes of Michael Jordan, Anfernee Hardaway, Charles Barkley, and more. The addition of Kobe, alongside the new acquisition of prep-to-pro prospect LeBron James, would mark a brand new era of Nike Basketball, one that has fortified Nike’s role as the pinnacle of performance basketball outfitting. It was in 2006 when a Nike shoe would officially bear Kobe Bryant’s name, but it was originally the Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4 that was set to be the starting point to a long-lasting partnership; following the Zoom Huarache 2k4 was the 2k5 version, which paved the way for Kobe’s official introduction as a Nike signature athlete in 2006 with the release of the Air Zoom Kobe 1.

Since that ’06 debut, we’ve seen Nike accomplish hat it had set out to do when it first brought on the Lakers superstar; six more installments as well as the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk (another ‘unofficial’ Kobe shoe), with the game-changing Kobe System setting new precedents in basketball footwear and design. So by our count, it’s ten shoes for Kobe thus far, and there’s no end in sight just yet. It’s not often we get to see all ten shoes bunched together, but thanks to wmsky of Kenlu, we’re given a nice side-by-side comparison of the Kobe V, VI, and VII as well as a unique look at original vs. current Kobe model. Check out some of the nice visuals after the jump and let us know which Nike Kobe shoe is your favorite of all-time.

ncaa feet 1 2 1 8 2012 NCAA Feet: Week Of 1/2 1/8

It was another great week of NCAA games, so let’s get right down to some of the notable sneaker sightings around the nation; of course, the three schools fortunate to have Nike LeBron 9 PEs took the court, while Jordan Branded schools like Georgetown, Marquette, Cal, and UNC sported some great team-specific PE colorways of Jordan Brand footwear. But when talking about pure and simple heat, you don’t need to look much farther beyond the Southwest, where San Diego State. and Arizona reside. Between those two schools, we saw the Air Jordan XVII Low ‘Lightning/All-Star’, the Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’, the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Cough Drop’, and a lot more. Cool Greys and Concords were spotted around the nation as well, and don’t forget about the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Texas Longhorns PE’ we showed you earlier. We’ve got a sampling of this week’s best kicks below so take a look and let us know what you think. via Yahoo!.
