Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Think Pink’

nike zoom kobe vi think pink summary Nike Zoom Kobe VI Think Pink

We’ve shown you two separate ‘Think Pink’ sneakers on the LeBron side of things, the LeBron 8 V/2 and the LeBron Air Max Soldier 5, and now we’re back with a Nike Zoom Kobe VI done up with the same theme. These deliver on their namesake, as it’s hard to think about much else when you take a look at this glowing pair of Kobes. The ribbon adorning the heel is a representative of the greater cause behind these-breast cancer awareness, with a handful of WNBA players sporting them on the court last week to rally for the cause. Continue reading for some more photos of this new Nike Zoom Kobe VI, which is set to release in just right around the corner.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI – Lakers Gradient

August 16th, 2011 by | 19 comments

nike zoom kobe vi lakers gradient 02 Nike Zoom Kobe VI Lakers Gradient

We’re beginning to lose count of how many Nike Zoom Kobe VI’s have hit retail and this latest colorway adds to that amnesia. The Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Lakers Gradient’ features the team colors of Club Purple and Gold mixed in with one another to form a gradient pattern that forms from the lateral to the medial side of the shoe. Maybe we can look at this shoe as the ’6 Rings’ edition of the Kobe VI seeing that the gradient pattern is reminiscent of the Nike Zoom Kobe V ’5 Rings’, but of course Kobe will be wearing the Nike Zoom Kobe VII if that happens in 2012. Check out the additional images after the jump and let us know what you think about the latest Kobe VI. via MarqueeSole.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI – Dark Grey – Blue – Chilling Red | New Images

Not a whole lot has been made of the theme to this point, but could we be looking at the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Dark Knight’?  They do indeed share a color scheme with last year’s ZK5 that shouted out Christopher Nolan’s take on Gotham City’s hero, but its application seems almost plain when compared to some of the crazier ZK6s that’ve dropped during this product cycle.  Still, a solid multi-purpose design that should find its fair share of fans, this upcoming Zoom Kobe 6 can be seen in more detail after the jump.  via SP

Nike Zoom Kobe VI TB – Black – Metallic Silver – White

Another day, another new Nike Zoom Kobe VI Team Bank colorway.  Ok, so it hasn’t really happened like that, but since around the time school let out early this summer, this is now the fifth ZK6 TB we’ve profiled.  They’re ‘away’ material all the way, a black base upon which silver TPU scales rest gives way to a white swoosh and sole that seems particularly crisp on this colorway.  Click through to see more shots of the black and silver Zoom Kobe 6 TB and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.  via in52

Nike Zoom Kobe VI – Dark Grey – Blue – Black – Red

The Nike Zoom Kobe VI will make a major impact on the high school and college hardwood this fall with a wide range of team bank colorways, so even if we don’t see those ‘true’ Lakers editions on Kobe himself, his signature model will get its fair share of attention.  But what about the above pictured ZK6, a model whose dark grey base plus red and blue accents is perhaps closest to the 3-D release from around the All-Star break, though that doesn’t really do this model justice.  It’s a dark, high-contrast look that’s destined for someone’s ‘away’ shoe, and you can see more when you click on the jump below.  via in52

Nike Zoom Kobe VI TB – Varsity Royal

August 4th, 2011 by | 7 comments

nike zoom kobe vi tb varsity royal Nike Zoom Kobe VI TB Varsity Royal

Is Kobe Bryant feeling the ‘Varsity Blues’ now that SBTG has shifted his focus away from Kobe’s ‘mighta-been’ Duke career over to the equally fictitious Deer Valley Titans?  Frankly, even without a sixth ring, Bryant is still on top of the world, and who says he can’t just make up his own Blue Devils colorway?  The Nike Zoom Kobe VI certainly wouldn’t be the first Black Mamba signature to show up at Cameron Indoor Stadium, but this new ZK6 TB in Varsity Blue with white trim looks more like the Dukies before they switched to a black-accented uniform, which lines up nicely with what could have been Kobe’s years of attendance.  A glimpse at what could have been that will serve as the base for a large group of young ballers’ dreams come fall, the Varsity Royal Zoom Kobe 6 Team Bank can be seen in more images after the jump.  via in52

Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Lakers Home’

August 3rd, 2011 by | 3 comments

nike zoom kobe vi lakers home Nike Zoom Kobe VI Lakers Home

The Nike Zoom Kobe VI has seen a variety of significant releases from the ‘Grinch’ Christmas Day edition to the Los Angeles Pack and the various camo drops, but when it comes to pairs designed with Kobe himself in mind, each of them were curiously incomplete.  That’s not to say that the designs weren’t compelling, either, just that on each and every Zoom Kobe 6 from last season that featured purple excluded gold and vice versa.  Our previews of the Imperial Purple and Del Sol edition proved that trend will end sometime soon after the next NBA season begins (whenever that turns out to be), and now this white pair with Laker-style accents can serve as the ‘home’ to that pair’s ‘away’.  Click through to see more images and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all the other remaining Zoom Kobe VI release dates.  via in52

Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Venice Beach’ Customs

August 1st, 2011 by | 12 comments

nike zoom kobe vi venice beach customs 07 Nike Zoom Kobe VI Venice Beach Customs

Emmanuelabor‘s calling card in the sneaker game has been one of diversity and creativity, creating some dope customs like the ‘Craig Ehlo’ Air Jordan IV and the funky Air Force 1 Low ‘Foamposite’. He’s one of the few sneaker customizers that took on the Zoom Kobe VI, a shoe that is understandably tough to work with because of the unique ‘snakeskin’ TPU upper shell. If you remember his last Kobe VI custom (the ‘Smog’ Kobe VI), you’d understand that his attention to detail is certainly admirable as he takes a meticulous approach to the hundreds of TPU ‘scales’ on the Kobe VI, but his latest work is downright insanity. Here’s a look at the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Venice Beach’; Emmanuelabor used the Kobe VI ‘Glass Blue’ as a base and created a sandy beach upper using actual sand from Venice Beach. He also painted the base a beige color to match with the glass blue midsole for that beach shoreline motif. Check out the additional images of the Kobe VI ‘Venice Beach’ as well as a video and let us know what you think.
