Can the NBA top this past weekend’s ‘Feet’? They’ve got a tough task at hand as we saw some sick sneakers hit the hardwood – shoes like the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’, Air Jordan XIII ‘Bred’, Air Jordan X ‘Stealth’, and LeBron 9 ‘Dunkman’ – so let’s see if this past Monday and Tuesday were any good! First off, Joe Johnson rocked a PE of the Jordan Six Rings, while both Dwyane Wade and Shannon Brown donned the Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’. Ty Lawson went back to the Cool Grey LeBron 9, while LeBron himself went with the flagship Black/Red colorway. Kevin Durant rocked the Black/Orange/Blue PE of the Zoom KD IV, while teammate James Harden wore an ‘Away’ version of that sweet Hyperfuse 2011 Low that he’s been wearing the last few games. Kobe rocked the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Poison Dart Frog’ in the Lakers colorway, but was Demar DeRozan’s Kobe VII iD better? Check out all the NBA action from the last two nights and stay tuned for more NBA Feet action! via Yahoo

The drama involving Derek Fisher and both the Lakers and Rockets organizations came to a boiling point when Fisher turned his back cold hard cash and made the decision to play elsewhere. While Fisher wasn’t in the building when the Lakers came for a visit, the competitive intensity was high as the Lakers and Rockets battled it down to the last minute. For this game, Kobe Bryant debuted the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Poison Dart Frog’ in the ‘Lakers’ colorway; the wild detail on the upper resembling the poison dart frog is present on three upcoming Kobe VII releases (with the ‘Lakers’ version seen here becoming available in May), and clearly Kobe couldn’t resist rocking them early for the game, which could be a potential Playoff match-up. Check out Kobe and his Poison Dart Frogs below and let us know what you think! via Yahoo

Part of the engrossing atmosphere of college basketball comes from the pagentry associated with school mascots. They’re always up to some kind of mischief and extend a school’s presence beyond its on-court five, something we don’t get to see enough at the professional level. So while we wait for more Suns Gorillas at NBA arenas across the country, maybe the Poison Dart Frog can be an unofficial ally for the LA Lakers (what’s a ‘Laker’, anyway?). The Nike Zoom Kobe VII sees another of its ‘PDF Pack’ releases done in Showtime colors, a shoutout to the Yellow-Banded Poison Dart Frog that adds purple to his distinctive coat to finish the Lake Show vibe. The mid-May release date puts these on pace to drop around the Conference Semifinal round of this year’s Playoff slate; do you plan to pick up a pair while Kobe’s Lakers stand in line for a chance at a sixth championship? The ‘Lakers’ edition is an obvious tie-in to the team Kobe Bryant has led to five NBA Championships and the ‘Easter’ version shares Mint Candy with the KD IV and LeBron 9 Lows celebrating that same holiday, but what about the above pictured Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Poison Dart Frog’ colorway? It’s perhaps the truest to its inspiration, a nod to the variety colloquially known as ‘strawberry poison dart frog’, that mimics Dendrobates pumilio‘s red body/blue feet ‘colorblocking’. Expect these at retailers in early June, and click through to see a new set of images in the meantime. via SoleAwesome

It’s become increasingly common to see high profile releases previewed in their GS form, but when grade school Nike Zoom Kobe VIIs come down the pike, they’re usually a kids-only colorway like the black, purple and pink pair that dropped earlier this year. But that doesn’t mean that the Black Mamba doesn’t provide for all his little snakelets out there, this Zoom Kobe 7 ‘Poison Dart Frog’ in its Mint Candy-accented Easter edition evidence of a hotly anticipated mens style porting over to smller feet. Check them out in greater detail after the jump and find yours three weeks ahead of the full sizes at Social Status.

The Kobe VII schedule of releases is still looking mighty strong for the remainder of the year; the ‘Year of the Dragon’, both Elites, and of course, the trio of ‘Poison Dart Frog’ Kobes have yet to hit stores. The last of the aforementioned releases is the Blue/Red/Black colorway of the Poison Dart Frog Pack, a shoe that Sneaker News gave you a first look at. This new detailed gallery shouldn’t surprise you much – the design is consistent with the other two PDFs, with the deceptively innocuous frog stamped on the heel as a badge of power. Of course, there will be plenty of other Kobe VII colorways for the Summer/Fall (team-based, college friendly joints) so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates after your peep the gallery below. via taobao

Sneaker News just showcased some new images of the Easter edition, but what about the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Poison Dart Frog’ edition that the Black Mamba might actually end up wearing in an upcoming game? This Lakers edition furthers the ongoing PDF and Predator Pack stories with a true LA Lakers colorway whose black collar and tongue suggest it’d either be a perfect away shoe, or maybe a postseason model based on MJ and the Bulls’ legendary playoff blacks. But we already know that the snake scaled Zoom Kobe 7 Elite will be Bryant’s shoe for the second season, and with the NBA’s shortened schedule winding to a close, will we see this colorway in our NBA Feet column soon? The May 19th release date suggests these might not shine under the Staples Center’s bright lights, but you can examine a new set of images right now by clicking on the jump below. via ahilang119 on Kenlu

After a February bookended by Black History Month and NBA All-Star celebrations, Nike Basketball took a step back in March, offering the sneakerhead community a chance to catch our breaths and reload for the spring. Coming up next month, the focus early on will be on the Easter holiday and its familiar pastel tones, the 2012 lineup of which focuses its attention on the soft green Mint Candy shade. It provides much of the upper on the Zoom KD IV and plenty of accents on the LeBron 9 Low, but neither of those can match the intensity and unique approach to its use on this Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Poison Dart Frog’ design. Their otherwise black design makes for a delicious mint chocolate chip look that warns of a deadly competitive spirit, and you can see more images after the jump below. via ahliang119 on Kenlu
