When a new Nike Zoom Kobe model arrives it’s guaranteed to come with a least a few yellow pairs here and there, with the rest of the range pretty much up in the air. Nailing things down a little bit is this latest pair of the Nike Zoom Kobe VIII, sporting a black and red pairing in that same sort of tessellated geometric look, a pattern vaguely reminiscent of the recent Air Jordan 2012 lite remixes. News on the Nike Zoom Kobe VIII has been a bit slower to arrive with respect to the other big names in Nike Basketball, the model apparently poised for a little later rollout. So far, the best view of the Nike Zoom Kobe 8 that we have been privy to has been of the lifestyle persuasion, with some grainy photos of the basketball version being the first to arrive. The pair pictured lands somewhere in between those two designs, with a crazy black and yellow patterning and what appears to be a Hyperfuse upper, leaving little in terms of seams and no doubt resulting in quite the lightweight sneaker. As you can see, the pair also has a more defined heel clip, some extra detailing on the tongue logo, and a bit of a different set up on the lace placket. Click through to check out this Nike Zoom Kobe 8 sample, along with the additional versions that we’ve previously seen, and stay tuned to find out which iteration of the eventual upcoming model this will turn out to be.

The ‘Black History Month’ collection has come to be a yearly tradition at this point, cranking out black based kicks that pay homage to the history of the African diaspora. Next year the lineup will be back, with a few interesting additions to boot. The Nike LeBron X, Nike Zoom KD V, and Nike Zoom Kobe VIII will be there, along with a strong Air Jordan showing featuring the Spiz’ike, Air Jordan 1, and Jordan Melo M9. Rounding out the group are a couple non-traditional models- the Nike WMNS Dunk Sky High, the Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite, and an all new model called the Nike Lunar Force 1 Fuse. Stick with Sneaker News to get the images and let us know in the comments which BHM sneaker you’re looking forward to the most.
