The terrible timing of Darrelle Revis’ injury out a heavy cloud over what could have been a career year for the cornerback. Darrelle was a shoo-in for this Sunday’s All-Pro exhibition game known as the Pro Bowl, but that freak injury to his knee cut his season well short, forcing Nike to put a spin on the debut of his signature shoe in December. Although Revis wasn’t selected to the team, a Nike Zoom Revis ‘Pro Bowl’ is appropriate considering he’d have no problem making the team was it not for the injury; this PE version is similar to the Cool Grey edition but features a light blue accent with the silhouette of the state of Hawaii on the outsole. No word on a release just yet, but check out the photos below and let us know what you think.

Many of our readers compared the newly unveiled Nike Zoom Revis to the original Yeezy thanks to location of the mid-foot strap and Swoosh on the heel. With that said, a ‘Yeezy’ custom of the Revis was bound to happen, and it looks like JP Custom Kicks has beaten everyone to the punch (or at least put his works up for viewing) before anyone else; he transforms the Nike Zoom Revis in the ‘Cool Grey’ colorway after the two Air Yeezy 2 releases (the Black/Solar Red and Pure Platinums) while giving the midsole – not the outsole – a glow in the dark treatment. A gallery of these customs await you below so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more customs because more Revis customs are bound to pour out of the floodgates! If you’re interested in copping, check out supaman715′s eBay listings for the Pure Platinum and Black/Solar Red.

While the most notable on-court sneaker sighting from the recent OKC thrashing of LA was Russell Westbrook and his ‘Thunder’ Air Jordan III, there were some other surprise footwear moments that evening in the Staples Center. Sitting courtisde (right next to Jack) was Adam Sandler wearing the Nike Zoom Revis. Sandler is a Brooklyn boy by birth so it shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise that he selected the out-of-the-gate New York Jets looking colorway. Continue reading for the shots of Sandler in the Nike Zoom Revis and stay tuned for more unexpected sneaker sightings.

Tonight is a big one for the University of Oregon Ducks as they go into the Fiesta Bowl against Kansas State looking to win a bowl game for the second year in a row (although we all know that they were hoping for a bigger dance than the one they ended up with). Boosting their confidence a bit is the typical sneaker pick up, this one finally football oriented as opposed to the Air Jordan fare we’ve seen in prior years. Pictured is another angle on their Nike Zoom Revis PE that reveals some extra detailing in the form of the ‘Win the Day’ scrip on the inside of the strap. Get the full look after the jump and let us know if you’ll be rooting for the Ducks this evening.
