Nike Zoom Revis Design Sketches

We can chalk up the first Nike Zoom Revis model to be an oustanding success, as this Trainer has become a rather popular pick among sneakerhead consumers, celebrities, and athletes alike. While Darrelle’s status as a New York Jet in the future is still uncertain with trade rumors and such being swirled around, we can certainly bank on a Zoom Revis 2 to be in the works. We’re sure designer Ken Link is working on that these days, but it’s still a treat to see the Zoom Revis 1 in its early days – particularly in sketch forms. These sketches appear to be at the final step before production, with a look at an earlier silhouette providing some direction toward the final design. Will you like to see a Revis 2? Nike Zoom Revis “Mag” Customs by Brian Villaneuva

nike zoom revis mag customs Nike Zoom Revis Mag Customs by Brian Villaneuva

Over the last couple of years, the “custom sneaker” has been defined by an existing model made distinct by a new and creative colorway. Guys like Mache Customs have dominated that category, with his keen eye for colorways being spotted by the Miami Heat duo to the point where he was actually commissioned to make one-of-ones for ‘em, and Revive Customs has used his impeccable touch for swapping soles on some old-school models while remixing colorways on the Air Max 1 and Air Trainer 1. One sneaker customizer that the community should also have the respect for is Brian Villanueva aka “Wolfstein”, who goes above and beyond the basic colorways and infuses several ideas into one incredible concept which ultimately culminates in a new pair of shoes.

His past projects have made it clear that he’s absolutely enamored by the Nike Mag, as his recent HyperMag customs and his unique Prototype design have hinted at, and his latest work pretty much solidifies his desire to recreate the famous sneaker from Back To The Future II in any way he can. Already impressed by the futuristic look of the Nike Zoom Revis, Brian Mag’d out the shoes by adding in a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, a built-in circuit board to control lights and the battery, an on/off switch, electroluminescent detailing on the strap and midsole, LED lights on the heel, a built-in port for recharging, and a custom-built charger. Most sneaker customizers have a hard time adding just one from that list of ingredients. It seems like a lot to fit into one shoe, right? It sure is, but what sends this custom over the top is that the shoes are entirely wearable. Check out the detailed gallery and video below because these are simply one of the best Customs we’ve ever seen.

After the Nike Air Foamposite One dresses up in the snowy white look, the Nike Zoom Revis is apparently arriving the next month with a similar makeup. Shown is that Nike Zoom Revis colorway, one that’s officially been billed as white/reflective silver. The upper does indeed keep things in line with that look, but the bottoms maintain the yellow hits lining the tentacles. Check out this clean Nike Zoom Revis, releasing in March, after the jump and tell us if you’re picking up a pair.

nike zoom revis superbowl 3 Nike Zoom Revis Super Bowl PE

On the morning of Super Bowl Sunday, Nike dropped three special edition releases commemorating the XLVII festivities in New Orleans. The Nike Free Trainer 3.0 and Nike Alpha Pro TD Cleat came fashioned in an intense silver/volt colorway, and here we see it again on the Nike Zoom Revis, which unfortunately never released. It combines the smooth finish of matte silver with a flat patent leather grey and a protruding volt vibe on the outsole, Swoosh lining, and exposed Dynamic Flywire cables to complete one of the best Zoom Revis colorways we’ve seen. These likely won’t release so enjoy this rare detailed gallery below and let us know what you think.

Nike Zoom Revis “Brooklyn Nets” Sample

nike zoom revis brooklyn nets sample Nike Zoom Revis Brooklyn Nets Sample

In late January we showed you a great rivalry pack of Nike Zoom Revis colorways, pinning the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets against one another. While these aren’t official ‘Brooklyn Nets’ PEs of any kind, the colorway certainly matches the minimalist black-and-white uniform worn by the Brooklyn squad, and it’s obvious that Revis, a pro-athlete based in NY, had the Nets in mind when these samples were put together. In addition, this sample reveals a logo not of the Jay-Z part-owned franchise, but of a Nike Football emblem that has been in use for several years. Check out the photos below and if you’re interested, there’s a pre-owned size 10 available right now from abtmchan on eBay.
