Did you know that we’re approaching the 50th anniversary of the first graduating class from Christ the King High School out in Queens, NY? Any chance the LeBron line can hook up those alumni with some PE pairs in celebration of the big anniversary? We doubt it, but Nike Basketball has been generous students at CTK nonetheless, often outfitting their high school squad with PE pairs. These Nike Zoom Soldier VI versions are the latest we’ve spotted, with a home and away available to the dedicated high school hoopsters. Out of all the high schools that get equipped with special versions of LeBron James’ various silhouettes, SVSM in Akron, Ohio is, for obvious reasons, the closest one to King James’ heart. And while he may have left Akron he didn’t forget about them, as the school continues to be blessed with player exclusives from time to time. Shown here are three separate versions of the Nike Zoom Soldier VI for his alma mater, each sporting a slightly different take on their school colors. The Fairfax Lions out in LA have long had a channel of special Nike LeBron sneakers flowing in their direction. Bron’s move to the Heat a couple years back served to link up his line a little bit further with the prestigious basketball program, as the Lions suddenly had a lot more to choose from as far as inline pairs given the overlap between the Heat’s colors and theirs. Then again, why would you want to do that when you’ve got stuff like this Nike Zoom Solider VI PE available. Throughout today’s scheduled games, Nike Basketball will honor the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday with special PE colorways of its contemporary models. Aside from the three signature shoes, other models like the Hyperdunk 2012, Hyperfuse 2012, and Zoom Soldier VI will receive the special treatment of grey/orange graphics. Yesterday, Reggie Jackson of the OKC Thunder wore his pair (the Thunder don’t have a game scheduled today), but be sure to catch these on the feet of players like DeJuan Blair after you see the extra photos below.

Could the latest Nike Zoom Soldier VI colorway be a sign that LeBron James will return to his one-time playoff sneaker series? It could go either way, judging by this new ‘BHM’ Soldier 6, a followup to the Black History Month LeBron 9 (a model King James wore last February). The recent ‘Christmas’ PE worn by Eric Bledsoe and Kosta Koufos is a case where other NBA players ended up wearing a special Soldier makeup, so be sure to check back with Sneaker News for updates after you’ve seen more photos below.

With LeBron James rocking the Lunar Hyperdunk+ while playing for Team USA and his tenth Nike Basketball signature right around the corner, the secondary line that once outfitted King James’ postseason efforts has been conspicuously quiet. LeBron wore the ‘United We Rise’ PE Soldier IIs during the 2008 Beijing Games, but it seems unlikely we’ll see him don the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 6 this time around in London. So instead of the USA colorup we’d seen in several previews, this first pair to arrive stateside is the basketball standby black and red. Sneaker News just showed you a raging red colorway that’s coming up soon and now here comes the other Nike Zoom Solider 6 colorup we’d previewed in Monday’s first look. The Zoom Soldier VI looks so good in this combination of silver, black and blue that, judging by the earliest comments, might have those traditionally inclined to the Nike LeBron flagship series, to consider adding these to your rotation as well.
