The Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski lowtop has been busy over the past month or so. It’s also been quite active in this two-toned upper configuration, a design whose consistently satisfying simple colorways offer proof of the power of traditional, restrained design. The latest is one of the most subdued to date, featuring the off-white Sail shade on a suede upper that adds black laces and Swooshes, and is depicted further below so you can decide if you want to grab a pair from shops like Premier.

Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski “Midnight Fog”

A model nearly four years old that’s so popular the closest we’ve come to a sequel is the midtop version, the Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski has picked up the pace recently.  We’ve enjoyed a wide variety already in 2013 with the floral edition right around the corner, but this latest pair opts for a decidedly simpler new style.  In Midnight Fog and black with a Sail sole, this new Janoski Low matches the ‘Light Redwood’ edition with its use of a corduroy-like textile on the heel plus an upper-colored band where the foxing traditionally reveals a single pinstripe.  Take a closer look below, let us know how this arrangement compares to the more traditional approach, then grab yours from SB stockists like Flatspot.

Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski “Light Redwood”

Light Redwood is an appropriately named new Nike color that has only appeared on a single release in just a tiny amount so far. But that changes with the latest Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski lowtop, which applies the soft rosey/rusty shade to the upper of a design that blends suede with a textile whose ribbing gives a look similar to corduroy. This pair also extends the color in question down to what are effectively the three foxing stripes for a look that is unprecedented in the Nike Janoski canon. It’s similar to a sole setup we’ve seen on a select few Dunk SBs; does it deserve to stick around, both in regard to future colorways and in your sneaker closet now that they’re available from NikeStore?

Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski “Volt”

The Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski seems to be a sneaker content with staying in muted mode between both the retail releases and the NIKE iD options that are available. Of course we have seen a few pairs break from that low-key look, this “Volt” pair being one of them. The sneakers were first spotted via catalog scan last summer, and have since been MIA. Reminding us of their possible retail arrive is Nike SB rider Eric Koston, who broke out his personal pair in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day over the weekend. Tell us what you think of the Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski “Volt” and stay tuned to Sneaker News should they finally hit retailers sometime soon.

Eric Koston’s first Nike SB signature was the original use last month and now we see more Canyon Purple pop up in the Swoosh skateboarding catalog.  The Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski low looks great in the dusty violet shade of canvas, as accented by white accents and traces of the Grand Purple shade that played a key role in SB’s 2010 lineup.  Have a closer look below so you can decide how these compare to previous releases like last summer’s black/Vintage Purple, then grab yours at shops like Flatspot.

The recent introduction of Distressed Canvas options on NIKEiD has resulted in some intriguing two-toned Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski uppers.  Here are a few more from the in-house design team at Nike Skateboarding, as Janoski’s lowtop signature adds some extra depth as we move into its fifth year as one of SB’s cornerstones.  It’s not all about adding contrast here, as just the Deep Royal Blue and University Red pair rocks such a setup.  The other two new designs are tonal pairings of green and black/grey, plus  the -002 OG, which  carries over for another go-round.  Have a closer look at all of them after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these Q3 releases.
