Looking strikingly similar to the Oregon Ducks version of the Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 is this, the same sneaker outfitted in a black and gold look. The sneaker ends up a much more agreeable one if you’re not an Oregon fan, one that removes the NCAA implications set up by that previous colorway. Get a full set of pics for the Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 after the jump and watch for them to release on June 8th at retailers like Sneaker Politics.

It appears that this new combo of Black and Gold will take over Nike Sportswear’s Turf-style shoes, with the Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 joining with the two Nike Griffey releases in this incredible “Elite Away” composition. The Turf Jet ’97 takes advantage of the gold, using the midsole pod to give the winning color some added pop, while the choice embroidery on the Swoosh gives these a sick Championship-like appeal. A full shot is just ahead, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for release info as these will drop soon with a $140 price-tag.

After the initial roll-out of original colorways, Nike Sportswear is getting a bit creative with the Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97, as seen in this upcoming release of the Neo Turquoise/Volt-White colorway. While there is no NFL team that can own these colors just yet, this Summer-ready colorway should still be a big attraction – especially considering a number of Nike Retro footwear will feature this Turquoise/Volt combination as well. This latest release of the Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 is beginning to hit retailers in preparation of the May 11th release date, so check out these multiple angles below and purchase them in two weekends at spots like Concepts.

The popularity of the Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 will undoubtedly continue when Nike Sportswear releases this great summer-ready colorway of Neo Turquoise/Volt-White in May. This colorway appears rather familiar as it easily compares to the “Sprite” colorway of the Nike Air Penny II that released last year – one of the more popular sneaker releases of the season. This pair, however, adjusts the colors a few degrees with the Turquoise/Volt combo, with added punch on the Metallic Silver midsole pod and clear outsole. May 11th is the release date, so expect these to hit retailers around then.

The return of the Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 continues with this clean Hyper Blue/White-Chrome colorway, but almost immediately, an internal tug of war begins as two NFC East teams fight for ownership. Are these more of Giants colorway, or do the Cowboys own this colorway? With the Chrome midsole and pod, we’d say the Cowboys win this one, but regardless of what team you rep, this Hyper Blue joint is seriously sick. Check out the photos below and cop now at Nike retailers like Sneaker Politics and on eBay.

Sole Swap‘s latest is a Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 with a University of Oregon look. Wait a minute, isn’t there already a retail pair that did that? And didn’t Sole Swap already remix that very pair? Yes on both accounts, but this new version manages to set itself apart regardless. The base pair is an earlier grey version, which in turn gets lit up by Oregon’s yellow and green tones (And there’s even the almighty “O” on the back end). Continue reading for more photos on the Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 “Oregon Alternate” customs and tell us in the comments how they compare to the previous pair.

One thing’s for certain; this particular Brett Favre comeback has been far better received than any other in the QB’s past. The Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 is recognized as Favre’s shoe from back in the day (wasn’t exclusive to him as several Nike-signed athletes of that era wore these and many other shoes), but who knew it would gain so much popularity in 2013? The sick Oregon Ducks release, the dope sole-swaps by Jason Negron, and the return of a few OG colorways has proven to be enough for this shoe to make the comeback worthwhile, and this great Challenge Red/Black colorway only adds to the punch and perhaps holds the door open wider for other Nike Turf Trainers to return in the future. This particular colorway drops on March 1st so look out for these at retailers soon.

Jason Negron aka Sole Swap comes through with another college-inspired banger of the Zoom Turf Jet ’97 as he gives us a look at classic Turf sneaker done in the form of “The U”. Using the OG colorway as the base, Sole Swap tints the outsole a dark green while giving some additional orange accents to complete the Miami look. We hope he continues this string of NCAA Football team colorways, so check out the gallery of the Nike Zoom Turf Jet ’97 ‘Miami’ customs below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates from the sole-swapper extraordinaire.
