A black pair arriving at select retailers less than a week after the initial preview suggested that the Nike5 Street Gato Woven might be one of those ‘thief in the night’ releases, but today we have word of the first pair arriving at a US store. The Woven Street Gato features the same unique pyrimidally-spiked medial panel as the original, but the overall design comes off feeling a bit more integrated thanks to the woven textures plus a bit of extra triangular patterning on the heel. This Summit White and Solar Red Quickstrike is available now at select retailers like Concepts (whose stock is marked for in-store only sales), so have a closer look and head out to grab yours before they’re all gone.

One wouldn’t expect woven leather on a outdoor football shoe, but then again, Nike isn’t about meeting expectations. They either surpass or give us something entertainingly out of left-field, like the Nike5 Streetgato Woven. The Streetgato first debuted last year in various colorways (and the underrated NITRAID collaboration), but arrives in a slightly different form – an upper featuring tonal leather, partially constructed with the classic woven appeal. So while Nike intends the Streetgato to be worn for quick and easy 5-sided football pick-up games, these are more of a ‘weekend’ shoe, for casual walks and such. The Nike5 Streetgato Woven are beginning to hit retailers worldwide, as the Black/Medium Brown colorway just became available at Limited Edt., so expect at select Nike Sportswear retailers soon.
