The non-Gel equipped Asics models tend to settle just below the radar of the ‘sneakerhead’ scene, never really plucked out for collabos or super energetic colorways. That’s not to say you’ve got a right to ignore them, with the likes of the Onitsuka Tiger Colorado 85 in particular coming with some strong looks as of late. Most major sneaker brands are ramping up their boot offerings to handle the wintertime demand for lifestyle designs, and though Asics hasn’t been quick to jump on board with this trend, their archives aren’t short on rugged options. Take for instance the Onitsuka Tiger Colorado 85, a trail-ready 5/8ths cut with genuine retro styling born nearly three decades ago.
