oregon ducks players suspended sneakers Oregon Ducks Players Suspended For Selling Team PE Sneakers

Oregon Ducks players Dominic Artis and Ben Carter have both been issued suspensions from the men’s basketball squad for selling personal, team-issued apparel in violation of NCAA code. Reports peg the items specifically as basketball shoes-which doesn’t come as a huge surprise given how regularly the University of Oregon’s student athletes are hooked up with exclusive “Ducks” Jordans and the like. What does come as a bit of a surprise is that the basketball team was caught red handed here-generally it’s the football team in Eugene who enjoys the most exclusive of footwear perks. Let us know your reactions down in the comments and stay tuned to see if this affects the flow of Oregon Jordan PEs or not.

Their presence on Nike training shoes both new and old expanded significantly in 2013; might the Oregon Ducks get a colorway for every single Swoosh trainer next year?  There has been some serious activity on this front of late, with Ducks designs on the Air Diamond Turf, Air Max 360 Diamond Griff and CJ81 Trainer Max unveiled in the last month, along with word of a Zoom Turf Trainer that might be the successor to the January Zoom Turf Jet ’97 that sort of started this whole movement.  The Zoom Turfs are set to return to retail in 2014, as is the Nike Air Mission, pictured here for the first time in UO colors and featuring the Duck wing pattern tha adorns the shoulders of the football team’s many uniforms.  Stick with Sneaker News for release info on all of these and let us know which is the best Oregon Nike PE to date.

Right now is a great time to apply this particular school’s signature colorway to this particular silhouette, because its signature star’s alma mater is ranked higher in the college football rankings than they have been in years.  Deion Sanders’ Nike Air Diamond Turf (which has yet to appear in a Florida State Seminoles style, by the way) takes on the Oregon Ducks colors, using green and yellow with a white sole for one of the more traditional Oregon PEs we’ve seen during this particularly experimental season.  Take a closer look after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more details including a view of the winged ‘O’ at the heel and possible release info for this ‘Oregon Ducks’ Air Diamond Turf.

Nike CJ81 Trainer Max Oregon Ducks PE

Are the Oregon Ducks on some sort of incentive program wherein they’re given a new pair of Nike player exclusives with every win they manage? We wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case given how rapidly the special sneakers have been popping up as of late. The next is this, a Nike CJ81 Trainer Max wearing the green and yellow Eugene look. This quick shot doesn’t show any wings insignias or “WTD” markings, but we wouldn’t be too surprised if some of that imagery was lurking elsewhere on the sneakers. Get a better look below and stay tuned to find out if this Nike CJ81 Trainer Max will be making it to retail.

Is Nike looking to match the Oregon Ducks‘ high flying scoring output tit for tat with exclusive footwear offerings?  The unstoppable offensive juggernaut’s penchant for scoring quick touchdowns has nearly been matched by all the UO PEs we’ve seen in this young college football season, the latest being another example of a carbon fiber look incorporated into the school’s established aesthetic.  These Nike Free Trainer 7.0 Ducks PEs skip out on the school’s green entirely, opting for a silver build as accented by the familiar yellow, including the University’s ‘O’ logo at the tongue.  Take a closer look at these below so you can formulate a ranking of all the Oregon exclusives we’ve seen lately and stick with Sneaker News because it’s likely at least some of what we’ve seen here lately will be releasing to the public.

The Oregon Ducks continue to inspire envy in the hearts of everyone outside of Eugene with yet another dope player exclusive trainer.  Following up on the Trainer 1s and Free Trainer 5.0s unveiled earlier this month is a new take on a classic turf shoe that hasn’t released in PE the original run in 1996.  Barry Sanders’ iconic Nike Zoom Turf Trainer shows up in black with green hits including ‘O’ embroidered on the ankles, and just like those aforementioned Trainer 1s, these infuse a bit of carbon fiber by way of the mudguard and midsole jewels.  It’s not immediately clear if these will hit retail like the UO PE for one of their spiritual successors in the Zoom Turf Jet ’97, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more details and let us know where these rank in the growing canon of Oregon exclusive Nikes.

The Ducks are off to a fast start this season, with a 3-0 record and a recent slaughter of the Tennessee Vols having the Pac-Northwest school thinking big.
