There’s no sign of Dee & Ricky in this preview of Pony’s FW13 catalog from Bread & Butter, but someone with an even more playful sounding name is integral to the set. The centerpiece from these second half drops would have to be legendary tiny dunker Spud Webb‘s Pony City Wings, a 1986 release we don’t have to tell you owes its whole life to the Air Jordan 1. Their upcoming efforts for 2013 stood out during the summer’s European tradeshow circuit, but the latest Dee & Ricky x Pony release is arriving right now without the slightest bit of hype. Releasing exclusively at Foot Locker’s European locations, the Dee & Ricky x Pony Topstar takes us back to that Blazer-Nizza-Pro Leather era of the ’70s when all basketball shoes seemed to have vulc soles and similarly spartan uppers. These add a playful vibe courtesy of multicolored ABCs and 123s on the white leather forefoot, while a waffle-knit rear gives you a visual sense of warmth you can grab from Foot Locker EU.
