In a rather enticing collaborative project, lifestyle e-publication Hypebeast teams up with Puma to convey the distinct food culture in Hong Kong with “The Dim Sum Project”, featuring the legendary Puma Blaze of Glory in both the original and newer LTWT model. Puma’s new LTWT series had a few bumps in the road along the way to crystallizing its nomenclature, so you might not realize that its predecessor’s update has also been around since late last year. The Puma Blaze LTWT hasn’t gotten as much attention as the Disc Blaze LTWT (especially with the latter’s upcoming Ronnie Fieg collab on the horizon), but after debuting with a style from Japanese retailer Beams last November, the Lightweight Blaze of Glory is ready to start building some momentum. This new Raiders-ish design features a giraffe sockliner similar to the neoprene exterior of a summertime Disc drop, so have a closer look below and stick with Sneaker News to see where the German cat’s animal-enfused LTWTs are headed.

Puma’s LTWT revision has breathed new life into its inimitable Disc Blaze runner, and now the German Cat turns its attention to renovating that unique laceless style’s predecessor. The Puma Blaze LTWT is a lightweight update to the 1991 Blaze of Glory, a heavily ventilated low profile silhouette whose neoprene bootie construction calls out to those who prefer the sockless look. There’s one CMY-ish colorup and another that strips out the blue (leaving grey) and adds it to red elements for a purple lean.
