#1 NFL draft pick Jadeveon Clowney already has a sneaker deal. The athlete will be linked up with Puma, but he doesn’t actually have any sort of shoe just yet. Helping to speed up the process is PMK Customs, who went ahead and crafted this luxury looking version of the Puma California for the man. The shoes feature an exotic combination of python and lizard skin along with some smooth patent leather sections. Puma gives us plenty of Suedes and Clydes and they’ve cranked up their Future series but pictured above is a model that deserves some more shine.  Hopefully this new Puma California is a sign of more to come, this thick-soled early 80s lowtop something like the German Cat’s answer to the venerable Air Force 1.  And like the AF1 that also debuted in 1982, this new California EXT has a timeless appeal, thanks to a palette that combines grey shades with white for one extremely wearable combination of nubuck, mesh and suede.  Take a closer look in more photos below and be on the lookout because these sold out quickly upon arrival in Japan.

When a sneakerhead hears the phrase ‘City Pack’, you’re likely to think of the team-oriented Air Jordan Xs, arguably the most desirable set of SB Dunks in the history of Swoosh skateboarding or maybe one of the more recent LunarGlide+ 2 or Free Run+ 2 capsules.  Point is, Nike maintains command of the urban-inspired sneaker collection, but don’t tell Puma, who’ve managed such a set on one of their classic lowtops.  The German Cat probably doesn’t need to hear that Puerto Rico isn’t a city, either, but that ’51st State’ style will indeed accompany Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta and Chicago with new Puma California releases, two-thirds of which are available now (with the CHI and PR joints to follow shortly) at Foot Locker.
