Just yesterday Sneaker News showed you G.O.O.D. Music member Pusha T rock the stage at the Heineken Red Star Access show wearing the Ewing 33 Hi in the daring red colorway, but it wasn’t his solo Ewing appearance as he also wore the white-based ‘Knicks’ colorway – with matching tee – during one of the event’s outdoor performances. With Pusha on the Ewing grind, it seems like this upcoming re-release is on everyone’s radar, so are these already targeted in your radar? This past week brought us a long-awaited release date for the first two colorways of the Ewing 33 Hi retro, and while NYC will get first crack at them at the end of the month, it appears that some lucky fellas have been laced a bit early. First we saw DJ Clark Kent rocking the white “Knicks” edition, and now we get a look at Pusha T hitting the stage for last night’s Heineken Red Star show in Chicago in the red suede pair with the matching red logo tee. New Yorkers have dealt with a bunch of nasty, wet weather in recent weeks, so much so that a guy who grew up in a town named for its proximity to the world’s second largest body of water was derailed due to the downpour. Rap veteran Pusha T had to cook up new flight plans after an earlier departure was cancelled, forcing the delay of his arrival at the adidas Originals store in SoHo. The former Clipse member was on hand today instead, signing autographs for fans as part of a hype junket drawing attention to the Fear of God 2 EP’s September 27th release date. Even beyond his own impressively wide range of collaborations, Kanye West has proven to have a diverse taste in sneakers. Fitting, then, that two of the artists signed to his G.O.O.D. Music label were on hand at a recent event with sneaker choices about as far apart as you could get for two white/red kicks. On one hand you have rap veteran Pusha T who seems to have found salvation for his soles in the form of the Nike Air Pegasus ’92 in Sail and Crimson, while on the other you have newcomer Cyhi Da Prynce rocking the Air Jordan XIII ‘Bulls’.
