Nike SB has reprised many of its classic ‘nicknamed’ colorways over the past year or two, but this latest design is probably the most intriguing of them all. That’s because it’s not exactly a reprisal, but more of a sequel from noted artist Brian ‘Pushead’ Schroeder that applies a ‘Bleached’ appearance to the same silhouette he’d ‘Bruised’ in 2005. The second Pushead x Nike SB Dunk Low features a mix of dusky suede and a marbled pattern that ends up something like if you put the ‘Galaxy’ theme in a black hole. These offer a fresh twist on the black/white/gold trend that’s been so strong throughout 2012, so click through for more images and look for yours at Nike SB retailers like Primitive tomorrow with select additional shops to follow shortly.

Brian Schroeder is a fairly unassuming name, but thanks to work for musicians ranging from Metallica to Dr. Octagon, Pushead has become a notorious and respected moniker. It was the 2005 Dunk Low Pro SB that really put him on the map with sneakerheads, and now the same collectors that’re willing to shell out four or five times the original retail price for that modern classic will have another chance at his marbled signature style. The Pushead x Nike SB Dunk Low will hit some retailers as soon as July 15th along with a matching apparel line and skate deck, but it might be the new ‘Tiffany’-esque box label and the unique deluxe packaging that gets the most attention.
