Ransom Holding Co. had only released one new model in conjunction with adidas Originals over the past year until today. Following up on the success of the Military Trail comes the new RANSOM x adidas Originals Tech Moc, a moccasin toed slip-on with a chanelled midsole cushion borrowed from Three Stripes mid-’80s running lineup (the recently reintroduced Phantom comes to mind). The finished result is something akin to a Visvim style with reasonably comparable quality but at a fraction of the price, and that makes this an extremely attractive purchase at select retailers like Extra Butter.

Ransom Holding Co.’s most prolific adidas Originals by Originals days appear to be in the rear view, but there’s one silhouette they’re still issuing with some degree of regularity. Here’s another new RANSOM x adidas Originals Military Trail, the ZX-inspired hiking midtop that hit in January in a mix of grey tones. February’s edition is a bit darker, opting for black leather plus earthy mesh and an intriguing glossy, almost metallic olive green on select accents. While not quite as prolific as its peak a few years back, the partnership between adidas Originals and Vancouver’s Ransom Holding Co. continues with new releases at a steady if diminished pace. The latest is a new colorway from a 2012 debut, as the Ransom x adidas Originals Military Trail readies a Clear Grey makeup. The second grey rendition in three releases for this ZX-soled trail shoe, these joints opt for black accents and tonal laces instead of last year’s blue/ticked affair. The result is an even more versatile design that can be a staple of your winter wardrobe now that they’re available at retailers like End.

The new Ransom Holding Co. adidas collaborative drops have been slow but steady over the past year or so, with a brand new style popping up every other month or so to put a fresh spin on the lifestyle market. Ransom Holding Co.‘s ongoing collaboration with adidas Originals has continued to pump out new designs, unabated by the relative lack of hype with which the newer drops have come when compared to the earlier releases. And one thing that hasn’t changed since this capsule rolled out in early 2010 is Ransom’s ability to blend rugged and upscale sensibilities. Vancouver’s masters of the outdoor aesthetic look to western Europe’s Pyranees mountain range for the RANSOM x adidas Originals Pier Espadrille, a hybrid lowtop with its lineage rooted in the centuries-old espadrille flat with a little docksider influence tossed in for good measure. We’ve seen Vans attempt both of these styles separately, but never in one design; did Three Stripes nail it with this ‘off the wall’ approach to a couple distinguished veteran designs? Has adidas bumped RANSOM as their go-to collaborator in favor of the much more flamboyant Jeremy Scott? Toronto, Ontario’s Ransom Holding Co. has seen its adidas Originals collaborations sell with such great success that we’re now entering the third consecutive year of tag team releases. This latest drop incorporates a brand that’s a modern legend here in American (and anywhere their ‘World Tour’ travels), the Stussy x RANSOM x adidas Originals Plain CS Stussy. Three pairs offer a unique one-layered suede take on a lowtop desert boot-style silhouette with RANSOM and Stussy logos imprinted onto the lateral and medial heels, respectively. These might remind you of a shorter, more subdued version of the Stussy x Doc Martens that dropped a couple years back, but a crepe sole means these are more Clarks-like if anything.
