Ray Allen’s already taken the crown of King of Player Exclusives for the 2010-11 NBA Season, and for the second round match-up between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat, Ray’s about to sport a lil’ something extra. Here’s a look at Ray Allen’s Player Exclusive colorways of the Jordan Phase 23 Hoops; the ‘Home’ version features a white patent leather upper with green ‘wings’ on the upper, while the ‘Away’ features a rich tonal green with nubuck on the toe-box and center panel (similar to a June 2011 colorway). Paired with the unique perforations and the PE logos on the tongue, these might be the sleekest PE’s we’ve seen on Ray’s feet this season. You can catch them during the Playoffs right now so keep your eyes peeled, or just check back with Sneaker News for the next NBA Feet recaps!

Jordan Phase 23 Hoops – Ray Allen Playoff PE

Ray Allen has gotten at least one player exclusive edition of almost every single Jordan Brand basketball model so it was really only a matter of time before we saw ‘Sugar Ray’ stitched onto another pair of Jays.  Allen had most recently been profiled in our NBA Feet feature rocking the Play in These but he put down the PITs for game 1 in Miami and picked up this Air Jordan Phase 23 Hoops PE that’s very similar to a green/black/white pair we previewed early last month.  These feature identical blocking but Allen’s PEs are personalized on the tongue, so we can’t help but wonder which version will hit retailers.  Click through for some in-game shots and let us know how these compare to the other Ray Allen Air Jordans we’ve seen over the years.

NBA Feet: Kicks From Around The League – 3/16 – 3/17

nba feet st pattys day 2011 summary NBA Feet: Kicks From Around The League 3/16 3/17

Luck was definitely on our side the past couple of nights because we got a look at some great sneakers around the league. Starting off with last night’s games, the New York Knicks had more than luck (try a team record 20 3-pointers) as they took down the Grizzlies in fashion. Carmelo Anthony wore the Jordan Melo M7 St. Patrick’s Day PE while teammate Ronny Turiaf wore the Zoom Kobe VI ‘Rice’ and Amare Stoudemire wore a green/orange PE of the Zoom Huarache TR Mid. Other notables included Derrick Rose’s adidas adiRose 1.5 in green/white, plenty of Nike iDs in the form of Zoom Huarache 2k4s and Zoom Uptempo V. However, amidst all the St. Patty’s Day PEs and personalized iD colorways, Jordan Retros always garner the most attention, like Courtney Lee’s Air Jordan III White/Cement, Gilbert Arenas’ Air Jordan V Black/University Blue, Ray Allen’s Premio IX, and Juwan Howard’s Fire Red AJV. Check out the rest of the NBA action after the jump and let us know who rocked the best kicks! via ESPN.

Air Jordan II Retro – Ray Allen – Celtics Home PE

air jordan ii ray allen PE green white Air Jordan II Retro Ray Allen Celtics Home PE

Ray Allen’s sustained excellence at an age when most of his predecessors had petered out is a testament to his legendary work ethic.  Allen’s preparation is so all-encompassing that few could fathom the meticulous level of detail that goes into every single day, but it’s paid off with an NBA Championship, the all time three-point shooting record and an inevitable place in the basketball hall of fame.  Oh, and did we mention one of the sickest player exclusive sneaker collections in history?!  Ray has received more Air Jordan PEs than anyone this side of Michael himself and pictured above is a ‘Sugar Ray’ edition Air Jordan II.  This Boston Celtics home colorway was issued a while back for games at TD Garden but for whatever reason never made it on-court, and now you can buy these in Ray Allen’s own size 14 courtesy of Osneaker.

During last night’s match-up between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, Ray Allen wore the Air Jordan IX ‘Premio’ with green laces to match the Boston Celtics’ special uniforms of the night. Ray previously wore the Air Jordan IX ‘Premio’ for a moment during a pre-game shoot-around, which led up to the record-breaking performance in which Ray Allen captured to single title as greatest 3-point shooter of all time. Green, gold, and white has been an occurring theme for Ray Allen this season, as he wore an Air Jordan XI PE in that colorway during a game earlier this year as well. Check out Ray in his sweet kicks below and let us know what you think. via ESPN.

collections air jordan pes spursniperseven Collections: Air Jordan PEs SpurSniperSeven

In an era when PEs are frequently sold at House of Hoops, this collection right here manages to go above and beyond, reminding us of a time when kicks like these really were ‘player exclusives’.  Check out this impressive run of Air Jordan PEs, a collection that runs the gamut from Air Jordans IX to XXII with plenty of heat in between.  Some of these like Chris Paul’s AJV and VIIIs we’d seen in away editions here on Sneaker News, but the home joints are a revelation right along with more obscure looks like Gary Payton’s Air Jordan II in the ‘MPLS Lakers’ colorway and former teammate Vin Baker’s Nines.  Toss in some football-modded looks for Deion Sanders, Randy Moss and Donovan McNabb and this is a can’t miss collection so click through to see more and let us know which pair you’d pick to start your own Air Jordan player exclusive anthology. Thanks gettinit247 !

Maybe he was satisfied with the NBA career record for made three-pointers or maybe he didn’t want to dethrone teammate and defending Foot Locker 3-Point Shootout champ Paul Pierce, but Ray Allen didn’t add a second title to the one he won back in 2001.  Even though Miami guard James Jones walked away with the crown, Boston’s gotta be happy two of their big three made it to the final round and Ray played the entire way in his typically smooth style.  That inclues the above pictured pair of Air Jordan Evolution 85 PEs, ironically enough the same sneaker Sugar Ray wore during the Celtics’ last game vs. Miami.  Click through to see more of Ray Allen’s three point contest shoes and stick with Sneaker News to see what he and the rest of Jordan Brand‘s contingent show off during the 2011 NBA All Star Game.
