Jordan Brand couldn’t have selected a better athlete than Ray Allen to represent the brand after Michael’s first retirement from the game. Officially the longest-tenured Jordan Brand athlete, Ray Allen’s got a resume of achievements that live up to the Jordan standard – from winning championships, earning Gold at the international level, and setting all-time records that likely won’t be touched for decades. One of the last Player Exclusives with his first team (well, technically the second), this Milwaukee Bucks Player Exclusive of the Air Jordan XVII features ‘RAY 34′ embroidered onto the ankle collar with a rich purple midsole (it looks like the OG College Blue) to match the Bucks uniforms. Not very unlike the USAB PE of the XVII, but these are up in true auction fashion so test your bidding luck by checking out the listing from srr1175 on eBay.

It seems like Ray Allen’s PE output has grown exponentially over the years, with his current Celtics colored sneaks probably taking up the lion’s share of the group. The PE we’ve got a look at here is extra special in that regard, showing that even in his earliest days in the NBA Ray was a beast on the PE scene. These Air Jordan VII PE’s from his time with the Milwaukee Bucks sport his number up towards the ankle and a beautiful midnight navy leather for the upper, matching with their unis pre 2006. Stay with us after the jump to get an in depth look at this crazy player exclusive find and check out the auction for the Air Jordan VII Ray Allen Milwaukee Bucks PE from cnoriega_2007 on eBay.

With the Air Jordan XII set for a revival beginning in April, let’s take a look back at some of the rarest Air Jordan XII PEs we’ve ever seen. The Air Jordan XII has been one of the more common PEs around, but when you see them grouped together like these five ‘Home’ white-based pairs, you can’t help but drop your jaw in awe. Spotted at the recent Sneaker Con event in Miami at the SoleFly table was this sick mini-capsule of Air Jordan Player Exclusives – two Ray Allen joints, one for Carmelo Anthony, one for Richard Hamilton, and the last for the retired Michael Finley. All feature the white leather uppers with a secondary color-blocking matching their team uniforms, with the Melo standing out with the partially-white midsole at the forefoot. Think this is the best set of Air Jordan XII PEs? Not so fast: Let us remind you of the sick Air Jordan XII collection of Jay Jones that was featured on Sneaker News almost three years ago. We’ve got a full gallery of images for you below so take a look and let us know what is your fave!

The NBA got back to business after the All-Star Weekend, with games resuming this past Tuesday. Ray Allen kicked things off by wearing his Air Jordan XIII PE in the ‘Away’ Black/Green, but he wasn’t responsible for the only new Air Jordan sighting as Jared Jeffries of the New York Knicks wore the Air Jordan VIII in the White/Orange Blaze colorway. Kobe Bryant, now temporarily the ‘Masked’ Mamba, led the Lakers to victory wearing his Kobe VII ‘Concord’, while All-Star Game MVP Kevin Durant took the Thunder to two straight wins. Other notables included Jordan Crawford and his Air Jordan VII ‘Cardinal’ and Huarache Free Bball 2012, Solomon Jones’ Air Jordan 6-17-23 in the ‘College Blue’, Jeremy Lin in the Hyperdunk 2011 Low PE, and Chris Paul in a new Royal/White CP3.V. What a way to close out the month of January! Just last night, Sneaker News showed you Ray Allen’s insane Air Jordan XIII PE in Black/Green, but that wasn’t the only notable sneaker sighting from the past two days. Al Harrington of the Denver Nuggets sported a Nike LeBron 9 iD colorway of Gold/Black, while C.J. Miles of the Utah Jazz wore a great colorway of the Nike Zoom KD III iD. Chris Paul wore a Blue/Red colorway of the Jordan CP3.V, while teammate Blake Griffin wore Kendrick Perkins’ face on his feet (actually the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011). The Knicks finally got back to winning ways, with Amare Stoudemire sporting a nice PE colorway of the Nike Air Max Sweep Thru, and Derrick Rose and the Bulls bounced back from the loss with their leader wearing the adidas adiZero Rose 2.5. Next to Ray’s XIIIs, the sighting of the two nights might be Earl Clark’s Royal Foams. Check out all the NBA action from the last two days of January below, and stay with Sneaker News as we keep you in tune with all of NBA Feet for the month of February! via ESPN.

NBA Feet: Ray Allen – Air Jordan XIII Black/Green PE

During the Celtics’ game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Ray Allen scored seventeen points, dished out eight assists, and blew the minds of millions of sneakerheads as he wore a neck-breaking Black/Green Player Exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan XIII. Ray’s name became associated with the Air Jordan XIII when Jordan Brand created a special PE for the league’s all-time greatest three-point shooter last season, and later released the shoe in very limited numbers. However, some may deem this Black/Green ‘Away’ colorway as the better of the two; it features a Black upper with a green midsole (like the White version), but with a white outsole. Check out Ray and his latest Air Jordan PEs after the jump and we’ll keep you updated on his NBA Feet sightings and any possible release information. via ESPN.

On one of the most historically significant nights of the year, Jordan Brand athlete Ray Allen paid tribute to the pioneer of the Civil Rights movement by wearing a pair of gorgeous Air Jordans fit for the occasion. Yesterday was Martin Luther King Day, and although there was no set of Nike Basketball and Jordan Brand PEs like there was in 2011, Ray Allen’s Air Jordan XII PE was enough to keep us in tune; it features a Black/Gold colorway with Allen’s ‘Sugar Ray’ tagline stitched on the outer heels of the shoe. That’s back-to-back heaters for Ray Allen – what does he have in store for us next? Check out the snapshots of Ray Allen in action during last night’s game and stick with Sneaker News for more Air Jordan PE sightings and updates. via ESPN.
