The Reebok Answer 1 will release on May 24th. The retro of the sneaker will make its debut in this, a black and gold colorway that we’ve definitely seen elsewhere in the Reebok retro category as of late. The sneaker comes right after the Reebok DMX Run’s bringback, wearing a similar DMX-tuned system across the bottom. It took sixteen years, but the Reebok Answer 1 is finally coming back. The sneaker brought in quite a few innovations for its debut way back when on the feet of Allen Iverson, being the first basketball design to feature Reebok’s DMX 10 Moving Air technology, as well as the first to sport the I3 logo across the side. The Reebok Answer 1 will make its comeback in this, an OG black and gold colorway than can be spotted on the feet of Iverson in plenty of vintage shots (Some of which are lined up here for your viewing pleasure). Reebok decided to toss aside chronological order when they brought back the Reebok Answer line. First up was the Reebok Answer IV, which has been on the shelves pretty consistently since its August 10th, 2012 return. Next up is the Reebok Answer I, a silhouette that first hit the court on the feet of Allen Iverson during the 1997-98 NBA season. Watch for the sneaker to make its return on Friday, May 24th in this black, white, and gold combination. Iverson, Shaq, and Kemp – the three most recognizable stars to have represented Reebok in its performance basketball heyday – are making an incredible comeback in 2013. Iverson already laid his groundwork with the Question and Answer IV drops last year, but 2013 will be a three-pronged effort as a number of their signature models will hit stores in various OG and Retro colorways. From the Kamikaze II, an iridescent ‘Invisibility Cloak’ version as well as a neon/white/black colorway will hit stores, two Shaqnosis joints will be ready to hypnotize, and the OG Black/Red Answer 1 will arrive in the Fall 2013 season.
