The younger cats might not remember, but those Reebok x Allen Iverson commercials with The Answer giving step-by-step tutorials on how to crack ankles were dope! The Reebok Answer DMX was front and center for those awesome ads, and with the return of the Reebok Answer DMX coming later this year, we hope that the streetball-style of basketball handles returns to the NBA (it’s getting a bit boring, don’t you think?). Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant – without question the two best players to come out of that revolutionary 1996 Draft Class – started off their careers with shoe deals. Allen, of course, had Reebok, and Kobe started his legacy off with adidas, and although Allen clearly got off the better start (Kobe wasn’t a consistent starter until a few years after his rookie season), the Black Mamba obviously advanced much further than Allen ever has. After rocking the Questions for a bit, Reebok presented Iverson with the Answer DMX – the first signature shoe that featured the ‘Answer’ moniker. DMX technology is a celebrated highlight of the magnificent 90′s era of sneakers, but will it hold up against all the new innovations of the 21st Century? Find out this Fall 2013 season when the Reebok Answer DMX makes its return on the OG Black/Red colorway.
