Fresh off the SneakersNStuff collab that marks the first of the 30th anniversary Reebok Classic Leathers comes another navy blue pair de-emphasizing the namesake material. Instead, it’s a mix of suede and nylon that gives an old school running lean to one of the original lifestyle sneakers. The dark blue edition is joined by a charcoal grey makeup, and you can see how select color pops add extra energy to both pairs in extra images below. Recent nubuck and suede standouts prove there’s more to RBK’s immortal Classic Leather than just its namesake material. Now that we’re moving firmly into 30th anniversary territory with the CL, we naturally expect to see a run of celebratory releases after collabo capsules for the original Pump in 2009 and last year’s Workout 25th. Stockholm’s SneakersNStuff played key roles in both of them, and demonstrate the depth of their relationship with another outstanding CL in a fresh new material. The SNS x Reebok Classic Leather is navy blue Cordura with suede details, and even if its name is slightly misleading on paper, make no mistake that these will sell out quickly upon their availability on Saturday morning local time at SNS.

Owners of global name recognition thanks to their keen eye for well curated collaborations, SNS notes that it was Reebok who was most helpful during a rough patch a while back. The relationship has continued to grow and now on the occasion of the Reebok CL’s 30th anniversary, Peter and Erik offer a unique homage to its enduring appeal. The SNS x Reebok Classic Leather is actually crafted in Cordura nylon, a deep blue shade of which has been treated to PlayDry ventilation and Thinsulate insulation. The Reebok Classic Leather is currently enjoying its strongest run of new releases in quite some time, a fitting tribute to one of the original lifestyle sneakers on the occasion of its 30th birthday. This latest CL release features a suede and nylon build in soft off-white shades, the kind of supremely wearable look that made this silhouette a hit back in the ’80s. Having successfully appropriated the imagery of Jean-Michel Basquiat for a few years now, Reebok turns to another 1980s New York artist for the look of an upcoming classics capsule. Created in collaboration with the Keith Haring Foundation, this collection makes use of graffiti styles including the classic Radiant Baby, as seen on the heels of the Keith Haring x Reebok Classic Leather. More Haring figures like Everyman and Barking Dog make their Mark on the CL Mid, NPC II, Workout Plus and Freestyle, and they’ll all be on display at the exclusive event upcoming at Bodega on January 31st. A global launch will follow on Valentine’s Day, and you can see several of the styles up close after the jump.

Following up on a 2011 release of the Ultralite edition, Swedish tattoo parlor Salong Betong once again team up with Reebok on a CL collab. This new Salong Betong x Reebok Classic Leather is the black foil to that white leather release, a buttery smooth study in elegance with brogue detailing on the toe and heel this style’s most ostentatious detail. Fans of the vintage look that typifies the Nike Blazer, Converse Pro Leather, New Balance runners and plenty other classic styles are going to be thrilled with the new direction Reebok is taking with the CL. The Reebok Classic Leather Vintage returns with three new makeups on the heels of our look at the ‘Racing Green’ rendition. Red, grey and blue suedes are all appropriately washed out and that goes double for their nylon branding labels, a look that matches perfectly with glue-stained white/gum soles. Further signs of good things to come for the CL’s 30th anniversary in 2013, you can see more shots of these three after the jump while we wait to find when these arrive at retail.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2013 is Reebok’s most successful release to date. The Reebok Classic Leather is one of those models that hit the scene, made a splash and never really went away, and it’s once again building momentum with classy makeups that’ll rouse the suede and mesh crowd. Here’s a green suede edition that’s been given a vintage treatment with faded labels, terry lining and RBK’s take on VNTG midsole yellowing above the gum bottoms.
