Both Reebok and Keith Haring took flight in the 1980s in two completely different scenes. While Keith Haring was busy painting New York City with his signature touch for the abstract and cartoon, all while having heavy involvement in the anti-drug campaign known as ‘Crack is Wack’, Reebok was taking off on the hardwood thanks to the likes of Dee Brown pumping up his sneakers in the Dunk Contest. Now the two return with their ongoing Reebok Classics x Keith Herring collaboration with three new colorways of the Reebok Insta Pump Fury, Leather Court Victory Pump and previously seen Pump Omni Lite. Featuring an array of orange, black and white, the Insta Pump Fury gets the most vibrant hue, but the other classic silhouettes do manage to fit in an extra dose of cut out shapes and graphics throughout. The Reebok Insta Pump Fury is keeping busy this Summer, as the head-turning retro silhouette has been subject to numerous collaborative efforts throughout 2014, most recently with the CNCPTS iteration. Now the shoe is getting revamped once more with a nod to the current sporting event of choice in the 2014 Brazil World Cup. The release features the host country’s royal blue, yellow, and green in a combination of neoprene and mesh while metallic silver stars hit the upper overlay. The print continues throughout the lining in a multi-color look while a white midsole finishes things off. It terms of Brazil referencing sneakers, busy seems to be the route to take.
