REEBOK INSTA PUMP FURY The Reebok Insta Pump Fury is a runner in Reebok’s innovative Pump line originally released in 1993. The sneaker utilizes a segmented design and opts out of laces, instead relying on the lockdown cushioning of the Insta Pump CO2 charger. The Reebok Insta Pump Fury has been re-released countless times since its 1993 debut via both in-house and collaborative designs.

If Japanese streetwear giants XLarge had to declare a favorite sneaker, wouldn’t it have to be a pair of Reebok Pumps? We’ve seen the brand and its XGirl ladies subdivision crank out a variety of classic RBKs in recent years, the Reebok Insta Pump Fury a prime example of how they can apply new twists to old favorites. This new model slated to drop on Black Friday features the kind of colorway you might expect from a womens release, though its purple and pink accents are made more masculine thanks to a healty portion of black on the overlay in addition to earthy browns on the heels and toes. Check them out in greater detail after the jump and let us know if these are import-worthy.

A loss to their in-state rivals from East Lancing has the Michigan Wolverines on the outside of the BCS Championship picture, but there’s still plenty to be excited for if you’re inclined toward the Big Blue. Coming on the heels of a similarly colored UNDFTD x New Balance collaboration comes this new Reebok Insta Pump Fury in maize with navy and white acccents. This model’s origin combined with the new colorway will evoke images of Chris Webber’s ill-fated timeout in the 1993 NCAA Basketball finals, but you don’t have to wait for the Wolverines’ roundball season to begin anew as these are already available now at select RBK stores like CrookedTongues.

Few sneakers scream 90s design like the Reebok Insta Pump Fury with its jagged patterning, layered construction, and typically loud colorways. We’ve heard a few disparaging remarks about the unorthodox design on these, but heads who can appreciate Reebok’s innovation know the deal with these 1993 classics. Fortunately the retro treatment has been generous, most recently with the two pairs pictured above. We’ve got one in Tron Team Purple and Orange, a super colorful sneaker that is a few shades off from a New York Knicks tribute. The other Reebok Insta Pump Fury shown here comes in a fairly simple Black/White/Grey set up with some quick hits of pink in there for accenting. Continue reading for more photos of these two just released pairs of the Reebok Insta Pump Fury, which are available now at City Sole.

Late last year, Reebok issued a pair of Insta Pump Fury classic runners in an OG colorway. But that model wasn’t evoking one of the Insta Pump Fury’s original looks, rather the initial Pump Twilight Zone palette of black, white and bright orange. And though we’d already seen the 1993-born black/red/neon look copied over to the Pump Fury Superlite, the above pictured model is the first time we’ve seen an original Insta Pump Fury colorway on its rightful model in quite a while. The ‘Tricolore’ Insta Pump Fury hearkens back to the model’s early ’90s debut, but like so many great models gone by, these look as fresh as ever and are currently available at Kix-Files.

We’ve seen the Reebok Insta Pump Fury updated with a new high-tech sole and brought back to its roots with OG colorways, but nowhere along this relatively wide spectrum of styles is a model as crazy as this latest release. Jun Watanabe’s Insta Pump Fury ‘Mr. Bottle Head’ is one of the most eye-catching sneakers we’ve seen all year thanks to the high-contrast polka dot overlay falling on top of a cotton candy base. They’ve got all kinds of details in homage to Watanabe’s famous character, and just like the figurine releases, this shoe is quite limited. A mere 500 pairs were produced, but you might be able to get one if you act now, courtesy of Kix-Files.

Following Tuesday’s sneak peek, here’s a comprehensive look at Jun Wantanabe’s Reebok Insta Pump Fury collaboration. These joints are crafted after Watanabe’s Mr. Bottle Head character, whose face appears on both the ‘tongue’ and heel pull tabs, but you might not even have noticed those. That’s cos the rest of the sneaker is one of the craziest we’ve seen this year, its white-on-black polka dot scheme offset by blue raspberry accents to complete a look befitting the Insta Pump Fury’s wild lines. Click through to see more of these and make the appropriate arrangements cos the only place you can get a pair when they drop this May is ZOZO’s EPROZE.

Itself one of the more radical designs in the history of running shoes, the Reebok Insta Pump Fury is no stranger to crazy colorways. And where better to look for an insane collaboration than a guy whose Mr. Bottle Head character is his most popular toy? Enter the Jun Watanabe x Reebok Insta Pump Fury, a model that seems vaguely similar to some of the other Japanese-born RBK collaborations in recent years, yet manages a fresh take on the polka dot motif thanks to cotton candy accent hits.
