The next chapter of the Reignman downpour is ready to begin as the upcoming Grey/Black colorway of the Reebok Kamikaze II is set for a release at Reebok Classics retailers on April 1st. This colorway is certainly the most “accurate” in terms of Seattle landscapes because if anyone knows, Seattle is one grey, cloudy city! That, however, doesn’t reflect the true enthusiasm the city has for Shawn Kemp and the sport of basketball, so let’s hope the city gets an NBA franchise soon. Rock City Kicks will have these in stock on April 1st so check out the extra shot below and let us know which Reignman colorway you like best.

Reebok kicked off February footwear releases with a select few drops of OG Reebok Kamikaze II colorways, but it’s time to make room for the first high-energy concept release as the ‘Reignman’ joints are beginning to pop up at retailers. A play off of Kemp’s ‘Reignman’ nickname and the rainy weather of Seattle, Reebok gives this mid-90′s banger a sick twist with the rain camo upper in a clean black and white – although we know for certain that more colorways of this style is soon to release. These are available right now at select Reebok purveyors like Extra Butter in Rockville Centre, NY so check out the additional angles below and don’t sleep on this release!

The Reebok Kamikaze II is a sneaker that won’t be sticking strictly to the original combos that hit during Shawn Kemp’s heyday. A few versions that will break from that base are those that make up the Reebok Kamikaze II ‘Reignman’ group, each done up with a linear camo kind of pattern for the upper. The faux droplets even come in a flashy 3M, allowing the sneakers to light up like never before given the right angle. Reebok has made a big splash so far at the Project Trade Show in Las Vegas, debuting the return of the Reebok Kamikaze II in this sick ‘Reignman Camo’ Pack; using the familiar rain camo graphic as a play on words with Shawn Kemp’s iconic ‘Reignman’ alter ego, the Reignman Camo Pack features three tonal colorways of black, crisp grey, and dark olive with the dotted-line graphic on the upper. With the successful re-launch of the Reebok Answer series beginning with the Question and Answer IV, Reebok has some high hopes for its 90′s catalog of basketball icons, so expect The Kamikaze II and the rest of Shawn Kemp’s signature model to make quite a splash in 2013.
