We recently unveiled five sick releases of the Reebok Kamikaze II that are slated for a drop on February 15th. The quintet of colorways fall into a Venn Diagram of sorts: the ‘Then & Now” Pack includes the Seattle, Houston, OG White/Navy, and OKC colorway”, a purported “Seattle” Pack would include the “Seattle” and the “Fish Market”, and the “All-Star” would include the Houston and OG White/Navy. The name for which you decide to group each shoe in is irrelevant at this point, because all five versions are releasing just one week from today to kick of the 2013 All-Star weekend. Packer Shoes will feature the OG White/Navy, Houston, and Fish Market colorways on February 15th, with a pre-order available right now at Packer Shoes (won’t ship ’til the official 2/15 release date), so enjoy this thorough gallery and don’t miss out on the next wave of Kamikaze releases.

The February 15th set of Reebok Kamikaze II releases wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t have an OG colorway to join the fray! The White/Navy original is set for a comeback on the mid-February date, and if it’s like any of the previous OG re-issues that dropped within the past several weeks, we can certainly expect a high-quality product. That’s one of the understated features of this sneaker release – the quality, even at $100, is so darn good. This February 15th, Reebok Classics is ready to dive head first into All-Star weekend with five great colorways of the Reebok Kamikaze II. This colorway is dubbed the “Houston” for its All-Star Game ties and is also included in the Reebok Kamikaze II “Then & Now” Pack (the Houston being a ‘Now’ selection). The colorway is indeed inspired by the Rockets’ uniforms, using a daring red upper with a metallic Gold trim and a solid white outsole. At $100, the Reebok Kamikaze II continues to be one of the best bang-for-buck pick-ups of 2013, and the Houston joints are definitely worth a spot in your sneaker closet. The Seattle-based inspiration behind the Reebok Kamikaze II colorways continues as we get a detailed look at the “Fish Market” colorway. As a direct not to Kemp’s highlight NBA years, the red and fish-scale silver upper is a nod to the Pike Place Fish Market – a landmark in the Seattle area – as well as the Pacific Salmon, a speciality in the fishing industry of that region. Completed with a crisp blue-tinted outsole, the Reebok Kamikaze II ‘Fish Market’ is certainly one of the more energetic colorways yet, adding on to the already successful output of this amazing Retro shoe. Following up on the Reebok Kamikaze II ‘Then & Now’ Pack is this Black/Blue/Orange/Yellow colorway that indirectly evolved from the Sonics White/Yellow/Green. This colorway, however painful it may be to look at if you’re from the Pac-Northwest, is taken from the uniforms of the Oklahoma City Thunder – the new franchise that formed when the Sonics were shipped away. It’s sad to think that Seattle could have an NBA Finals squad with a roster line-up that includes Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, and more, but the fans in Seattle are one of the best in the nation and they’ll certainly come out and root on the Kings/Sonics during their rebuilding mode. The Reebok Kamikaze II ‘Oklahoma City’ is currently a Foot Locker exclusive and will release on February 15th at $100, but stick with Sneaker News for potential updated release info.

It seems like all the pieces are coming together for Seattle fans these days, with news of an NBA franchise comeback and one of its most popular players experience a second wave of mass popularity. Thanks to the Kamikaze II, Shawn Kemp is once again one of the most talked-about names in basketball and sneakers, and Reebok Classics is definitely taking the proper routes in celebrating one of the most exciting players in NBA history. As part of the Reebok Kamikaze II ‘Then & Now’ Pack, this Seattle Sonics-inspired colorway mixed White and patent leather Green with yellow glitter detailing, capturing the Supersonics colorway down to a tee. Expect these to release on February 15th exclusively at Foot Locker (for now) for an MSRP of $100.

Reebok kicked off February footwear releases with a select few drops of OG Reebok Kamikaze II colorways, but it’s time to make room for the first high-energy concept release as the ‘Reignman’ joints are beginning to pop up at retailers. A play off of Kemp’s ‘Reignman’ nickname and the rainy weather of Seattle, Reebok gives this mid-90′s banger a sick twist with the rain camo upper in a clean black and white – although we know for certain that more colorways of this style is soon to release. These are available right now at select Reebok purveyors like Extra Butter in Rockville Centre, NY so check out the additional angles below and don’t sleep on this release!

How is your Reebok Kamikaze II rotation looking at the moment? A few more pairs hit over the weekend to give you even more ammo, and we’ve got a preview of two more if you’re still hungry for the Shawn Kemp retro. One of them is an orange and blue that could easily be construed as an Oklahoma City Thunder colorway, an extension of the Seattle story of sorts.
