Do you recall the Reebok Rail design we saw with those funky graphics attached? As it turns out, that sneaker will actually be released in conjunction with a similarly styled Reebok Q96. The two of them have been officially dubbed the “Hip Hop Appreciation Pack” thanks to their Native Tongues-era looking graphics (The Q96 in particular kind of comes off looking like a Tribe tribute). Get with us after the click for the official images on both and watch for them to release in limited quantities at DTLR, Shiekh, Expressions, Eblens, DK Foot and Casual, and Reebok on 2/14 for $100.

Does this Reebok Q96 colorway look familiar? This new build is of course based on the Reebok Question, but this upcoming release in particular also has a borrowed palette and material set. Apparently the sneakers were fashioned after the Reebok Question “A Shoe About Nothing” from SneakersNStuff that hit in 2013. Obviously not all of the materials match up though, as this model is meant as a more modern one. See the sneakers in their entirety below and watch for them to launch tomorrow, January 25th at retailers like Eastbay for $115.

Reebok Q96 “Tribal”

December 29th, 2013 by | No comments

reebok q96 tribal 01 570x425 Reebok Q96 Tribal

The Reebok Q96 continues to pay homage to Allen Iverson’s time at the brand as a signature athlete, and although the silhouette remains just outside the realm of The Answer’s favorite uppers – its namesake and gigantic ‘Q’ logo on the back heel are enough to let us make the connection. The shoe has been a recent recipient of PE treatments as well, and the latest crazy scheme to arrive is this “Tribal” look that uses a zebra-esque print and red and green colors in a possible yet unofficial reference to A Tribe Called Quest’s ubiquitous stylings – after all, Beats, Rhymes and LifeĀ did arrive on store shelves the same year as Iverson’s rookie season in 1996. Continue reading for a better look at this upcoming release and know they’ll be available at select retailers like Oneness.

The Reebok Q96 is a sneaker that will be part of Reebok’s player exclusive program via this St. Anthony’s colorway. For the uninitiated-St. Anthony’s is a small Catholic school in Jersey City, NJ that’s been on the brink of financial disaster for years now-all the while still cranking out top basketball players. The sneakers sport a red and gold build that will be seen on court for the team when they step out for the 12/21 season opener. Continue reading for a complete look at this player exclusives for the scrappy St. Anthony and let us know if you approve in the comments.

Reebok Q96 – Green – White

reebok q96 green white Reebok Q96 Green White

You can bet that the Reebok Q96 is a sneaker that will be outfitted with some special edition colorways. After all, we wouldn’t expect Reebok to put together a rebirth for one of their most celebrated basketball models of all time only to be done with it after a couple of white based releases. Evidence of the unique treatment comes in the form of this green and white pair, which is apparently a PE of some sorts. The sneakers sport a sort of polygonal camouflage look, one that’s definitely unlike anything we’ve seen on the Reebok Question proper. Get the full view with us after the click and let us know if you’re feeling this pair.

Reebok Q96 “Crossing Guard” + “Crossover”

reebok q96 crossover crossing guard Reebok Q96 Crossing Guard + Crossover

Even though the Reebok Q96 is just outside the realm of Allen Iverson signature shoe territory, it will still come in some colorways alluding to the on-court prowess of AI. Case in point are the new “Crossing Guard” and “Crossover” versions that are on their way for December. As you can see, the two sneakers break from the OG, white based blocking of the Reebok Question and instead get a little bit more colorful. The neon on graphite version is the “Crossing Guard” alluding to his general move set while the “Crossover” is linked to that more specific MJ-defying moment. Continue reading to get a good look at both and watch for these Reebok Q96 styles to debut on December 1st for $114.99 at retailers like Foot Locker, Finish Line, Champs, Jimmy Jazz and Reebok.
