It’s pretty nice to see the turf trainer category getting so much love as of late from a variety of sneaker brands. Reebok definitely has some heat tucked away in that category-the Reebok Scrimmage Mid being the one they’re focused on for the moment. A 1992 design, the Scrimmage is built with a PVC heel clip for support and Hexalite tech on the bottom for cushioning. See the three colorways that are starting to hit retailers now (Each draped in an NFL-style set of colors that you should recognize) and lookout for a wider release of the Reebok Scrimmage Mid on April 12th, 2013 for $100.

Reebok dominated several sport categories, with Turf Training and on-field footwear being one of their special flavors during the mid-90s. Part of the Reebok Preseason line is the Reebok Scrimmage Mid, seen here in a dazzling new “Dolphins” reprisal with the cool aqua blue and bloody orange on the inner lining. The patent leather toe-guard and speckled outsole give these even more of a visual kick, making the return of the Scrimmage Mid one to keep an eye out for. The re-release of Emmitt Smith’s Reebok ES 22 has opened the door up for some more Reebok Trainer comebacks, and it looks like the comeback brand will kicks things off with the original Reebok Scrimmage Mid for Fall 2013. We already caught a sneak peek of the Scrimmage in early January when we previewed a nice “pile” shot of Reebok 2013 Samples, but this first look at four upcoming colorways should give youa better idea of what to expect from this high-quality Retro release.
