The return of the Reebok Shaq Attaq will definitely be a talked-about topic when the Sneaker News staff rewinds through 2013. The re-release of the OG-colorway will soon be followed by this fellow original – the Black/Azure colorway – that will likely be met with high fanfare like the OG. Those who copped the Shaq Attaqs praised Reebok for keeping the re-released as close to the original, and based on this latest image, we can expect the same for the Black/Azure Blue release! The only Reebok Shaq Attaq colorway to have hit stores so far is the OG “Orlando” look, but we’re certain that there are more on their way. In fact, we’ve spotted a very special version in the form of this blinged out look done by one Gabe the Jeweler. Unfortunately they don’t appear to be a retail release, instead they’ve been touted as as charity item. The sneaker itself was a marvel of design and technology, using the brand’s latest comfort-tech advances of that time wrapped up in a loud design worthy of Shaquille’s on-court presence and charisma. Even at an MSRP of $160, this Reebok Classics release will definitely be a must-have when these officially hit stores next week. Reebok is ready to make its next big splash – and who better than the 7’1″ dominant center known as Shaquille O’neal to induce the shockwave? The official comeback of the Reebok Shaq line will start next Friday, April 19th, when the Reebok Classics Shaq Attaq hits stores for the first time since the original run in 1992, but due to the high demand of these must-have releases. 1973 by Mr. R is doing an event April 18th from 10pm to 1am and releasing the shoes at midnight, while the rest of the Reebok retailers will make their stock available on the established release date of the 19th. The Reebok Shaq Attaq is certainly one of the highlights of 2013 thus far, so don’t miss out on this monumental release next week.

It’s amazing that a story told in the early-mid 19th century known as “A Christmas Carol” has such a presence in pop culture today. Sometimes it’ll turn out amazing, like Reebok’s upcoming Holiday 2013 release known as the “Ghosts of Christmas” Pack; featuring three of Reebok Classics’ most popular models in the Question, Shaq Attaq, and Kamikaze II, this trio of releases hones in on the three “Ghosts of Christmas” with the representing the Future, Present, and Past, respectively. These are merely catalog scans so the final productions could be different, but we do at the very least get an idea of the Holiday-inspired themes surrounding this supernatural folktale.
